Part of the problem who is shooting them. Nixon's awful 3 point percentage certainly doesn't dissuade him from continuing to hoist them up.

If you're a guard who is not a threat from the outside, life becomes really difficult. I worry that the book on Iowa State is already out - sag in and deny penetration.

11 minutes to go and down 9. Hope we can get hot, but not optimistic.

A good thing about these early season tournaments is it gives you a great assessment of your strengths and weaknesses, and ours seem pretty clear. It will be interesting to see how Prohm tries to maximize our strengths and minimize our weaknesses.

When you're not a great perimeter shooting team, one option is to focus on creating offense with your defense. We have the bodies to do that, but that's never been part of our mentality.

I thought this team was likely a bubble team. They don't improve their shooting at all, that ceiling is going to drop. This could get ugly, or I mean it kinda already is.

Yeah, 3 point shooting and 3 point defense was the difference. Will probably be a problem all year...

I think you need to pump the breaks a bit. We just lost in a tight game to Michigan who shot very well and we had a chance to change the outcome of the game if you make your FT's down the stretch and get a call here or there. The shooting may come, it might not, but the thing that this team doesn't lack is competitiveness and toughness. We could've rolled over and lost this game but we kept fighting and made it a game at the end. Some of these will start to go our way but none of us should throw this season away already. We've lost by a combined 13 points to two NCAA tournament teams. We have plenty of opportunities ahead of us to figure things out, starting tomorrow and Friday.
