I know some have suggested this for next season and I have given it some thought. The idea of a 3-guard set with Buckley, Eikmeier and Staiger surrounding the 3-pt line is interesting. It would be asking a lot of Wesley and Brackins to hold things down inside, but it resembles what Duke is doing right now. They are simply outscoring their weakness (lack of inside bulk).

Alex Thompson is not a 25-30 minute per game starter and CJ and Mann don't excite me as much as having another sniper on the perimeter. I'd still like to see us snag a big JUCO guy to afford that luxury and versatility if we need to go big.

I think we will see either Peterson or Garrett at the 1, Wesley and Staiger at the 2 & 3, Brackens at the 4, and Thompson at the 5(unless we come up with a better 5).

 I'm not sure asking Wes to play with his back to the basket is best for our team. We've instituted him at the 2 or 3 spot to maximize his ability. Moving him down low, although he's athletic enough to do it, is IMO going against what GMac is trying to establish.

Maybe Wes is one of the 3 guards, but then you have guys like Boozer, Lee, etc that could factor into the mix.
