Honest question. Do you think Steph could have been a pro golfer if that was his focus starting in high school? I 100% think he would be a pro.

There's definitely a chance. He's not far off from a true competitive golfer as-is, even with his current day job.

Don't kid yourself.... he's not that close. Could he get close if he spent all his time working on it.... maybe?

I mean, that is what the question asked. If he can play to a plus cap now, I don't think it's unreasonable that he could've been on the KF tour and possibly up to PGA from there... given full attention and effort. It's obvious that talent isn't the issue.

Lots of plus handicappers that play golf a lot that aren’t close to sniffing the tour.
This is true but how many of those guys can hit half court shots like it’s a free throw? He’s clearly built different. I don’t know if he can putt which seems to be what differentiates pga players from everyone else.

He hit this crazy putt yesterday. You don’t get to a plus handicap being an average putter.

Probably. The same mental qualities that put him in the gym to become the shooter that he is would’ve carried over into golf. It isn’t like he’s a 7’ athletic freak that would struggle with swing dynamics.

on the flip side though, how much of his basketball game came from his dads coaching? Might not have had that level of instruction in golf at home. Although the financial means to go get it was there.

I just think there's no way. Steph has been playing golf for most of his life from the sound of it, his dad was into it, Steph played in high school. The guys on the tour are built different though, most of them were as good as Steph is at golf now when they were like 15.
