***2023 PGA Tour Thread***

Lots of firepower up at the top of the leaderboard which should make for a fun Sunday.

I have to say, I don't like the extended on the course interviews. It just feels like something that the players would internally dislike, particularly when they're in a tough spot like Walker was.

Jimmie Walker was on top in 2016. Won the PGA,, Ryder and Presidents Cup team member.

Went pig killing in south Texas and contracted Lymes Disease. Only playing this season because some LIV buttheads have fallen out of the top 50 all-time money list and he slid in this season. Playing on very borrowed time.

A decent dude who probably could have stole several million from the Saudi's, but stayed loyal to the PGA Tour.

Spieth leads Fitzpatrick and Cantlay by 1 shot heading to the back 9.

Jordan hits a PW from 172 and ends up 30 feet long, fun playoff for everyone other than Spieth. Has to sting to be within an inch to win twice.

Think that crowd was very drunk during the end stretch there. Lot acting like idiots.

Anyone that yells during a backswing needs to be kicked out and not allowed in another PGA event.

I’d have to do everything in my power to not punch them.

And LIV wonders why the OWGR's are skeptical...

3 Par 4s under 400 yards
No Par 4 playing over 450
Longest Par 5 is 548

I've seen a few LIV players questioning how the infrequency of their tournaments impacts their ability to be sharp for majors. I'd be more concerned about the setup. Playing a 6900 yard course then jumping to the US Open that's probably going to play 7300+.

Eh, some courses are longer than others, if they were all set up that way maybe. The course they'll play before the US Open is Trump National in DC which I think is pretty long, or can be at least.

PGA Tour does play some shorter courses as well.

6,900 maybe isn't crazy in-and-of itself. 6,900 for a Par 72 though? That's crazy short and is a pitch and putt for a professional golfer.

The John Deere is pretty much the easiest PGA tournament and it's a 7,300 Par 71.

Hell Coldwater plays almost 6800 from the tips and is Par 71.
