***2023 NCAA Volleyball Tournament Thread***

Seven Big 12 teams made it in, but they skipped over Kansas State (10-8) and chose TCU (8-10) instead. TCU had a better RPI by about ten spots in last weekends rankings (NCAA site hasn't updated to reflect the final week of the regular season yet).

After KSU swept Texas, I figured KSU was in for sure. They got screwed IMO.
I have to agree ~ comparing TCU and KSU, the ONLY difference is that TCU beat more schools (and played more schools) outside of the conference that made the tournament... but not by a lot. And if going by RPI alone, Drake would have made it before Kansas State. Kinda bummed for Kansas State and Drake.
Side note: Drake won last night in the first round of the NIVC tournament! I was really surprised that there weren't any Big 12 schools that are playing in that tournament.
Another side note: Coach Reed Sunahara resigned from West Virginia, which is not really a surprise.
Doubt we see Lily or Brooke tonight. Tough first round match-up too with a storied program. Great opportunity for the squad!

Stonestreet practiced today…have no idea her chances of playing tonight though.
More than the announcers, I hate Oregon's ugly-a** BB court more in v-ball than in basketball because sometimes there are "trees" where the ball hits the floor and I find it distracting. Good bounce-back by ISU to take the lead after the TO.
Agreed about the court. I found a court that is worse than TCU's. Hopefully it's not as bad to play on as it is to watch.

I gotta say, some of those rallies are way more entertaining than watching our men's BB team in an offensive drought. Great athleticism and skill by this Cyclone team.
