Napier, he won’t get enough time even with a good class coming in.

Jimbo is immensely overrated but if they rebound some this year, his buyout will likely keep him safe. A dynamic to watch though is with Texas joining the SEC, I can see TAM having a very short leash with their big donors helping out.

Sark I keep saying I think is changing the culture one class at a time. It hasn’t been quick, but he is building something there.

Day isn’t going anywhere unless or until he starts to struggle against PSU, USC, Oregon, and WA. Just losing to MI is bad, but they win about every other game. He will need to get them to the playoffs soon though.

Venables never looked or acted like a head coach to begin with. Some are just better as coordinators. He will get another 2 years though, so long as they don’t struggle right out the gates next year.

I keep thinking if aTm wins 7/8 they could let him go and try and snag UTSA coach.

Oklahoma seems pretty patient for a blue blood school.
They get a lot of deserved ****, but I think they’re somewhat more realistic than a lot of blue bloods. But, their schedule is about to get much harder and losing to Texas 49-0 is tough baggage to get rid of.

Napier first, but if Sark pulls a Sark and finishes with an eight win season, he’s next.

Napier and Venables are both going to be looking for jobs in December. Even though I don't think Sark will last much longer at Texas I think he wins enough to keep his job this year. I'm not sure how many wins Jimbo has to have to keep his job. 8?

I agree with Napier, but you’re really underestimating what losing to Michigan a 3rd time in a row would do to Days seat.

I think Jimbo would be the closest given how long he’s been at aTm given his results vs pay. Then I think he’d be followed by Napier at Florida. He might get one more year if he’s an average low level bowl team. If anything four wins and less then I think he gets the boot.

Just a reminder that Florida fired McElwain 2.5 years in, won the division both years, and was SEC coach of the year in one of those.

My Billy Napier pick looking good so far.
It would be interesting to see an indepth look on Napier. Thought he was a good hire.

But I remember reading after he was hired that part of his plan was UF needed to hire something like 40 non-coaching positions. Analysts, quality-control, player development, etc. At some point does having so many support staff become too much to manage for a ball coach?
