Looking at the rest of the schedule, 18 wins seems like it would be a nice finish. 20 great, but we would have to win a couple of road games or knock off some big at home.

What are you all thinking?

If we show consistency and are dominate at home, I'd say 18+ is possible. Hopefully we start next season where we left this one and we go to the NCAA.

I think that's on a wishful end at this point. I still vividly remember games against Hawaii, SDSU, Iowa, Drake, etc.

And Nebraska was damn near the same result. Had 'em dominated and all we needed to do was play average early in the 2nd half. When that game got tied up at 42 (I think that was the first tie after the break), I certainly thought we were had. Seen that one way too many times.

But - we did bounce back and finish - definitely good. But had one or two more things gone bad for us at that time - I think we finish in the same result we've been used to as of late.

The team still lacks the ability to close out games, consistently score, stop dribble penetration and handle any sort of pressure. Until those things change - we will struggle.

Excellent perimeter shooting will keep us in some games but we won't be getting that shooting each night.

DG needs to get right for us to have a chance at being better than most predicted. And quick. Tough love seemed to work for Craig, perhaps DG needs some.

I don't know, I get the feeling we are going to be thanking them in a weird way...they showed us something about ourselves. Double edged sword; firm believer things happen for a reason.

Well certainly we can learn from these games. Yet I still see similar mistakes in recent contests that lost us those other games. This stuff can't be fixed overnight.

If it can - awesome. I'll rejoice in the success. Until then, expectations are tempered.

Regardless, I hope we're playing our best basketball at the end of the year and that we can steal a game in the Big 12 tourney.

it is all about momentum. If we win missouri and kansas, definitely we will get 18 wins. If we lose the next 3 games, then we 15-46 wins

We win the national title and then play some bonus games in the NBA?

Oh, my prediction is 16 or 17 (stretch) wins. I can easily see us losing the next 6. :(

18 wins means we'd be 7-9 in conference play, correct? I really don't see that happening with this team.
