    Effects Iowa if they have a good season. Iowa State game hurts their national perception and may hold them back from a playoff if the chance arises again. It's in both programs interest that each at least makes a bowl game.

    Not trying to start anything, just my humble opinion. Looking at Iowa's Big Ten schedule, I don't see any game that Iowa State is favored in except for Purdue. Maybe a -3 versus Maryland also.
