    You're not the only one that noticed this. When you have a coach who doesn't care about the team, it's hard for the players to get excited for a game. I'm sure we'll see that same "emotion" at Auburn this year.

    It's not cheesy, that's exactly whats happening. We're a very young team, and we can only get better. We're improving with every game we play, just sometimes I wonder if our boys are ready for the game or not.

    I'm sorry, just my opinion, but I think Leonard Johnson needs to be sidelined for a few games to learn what it means to be a "Team." That cheap shot was uncalled for and unsportsmanlike. I know Chizik knows what he's doing, but still... that type of game play is just not needed at all...

    I find it funny as hell that Captain Kirk was their savior last week when Iowa beat us, now he's the worst coach ever and fans want him gone. Just goes to show you that Hawkeye fans are only fans when their winning.

    A little off-topic, but I have this question, too. The Admin at U of I has many times considered the U of I to be the San Francisco of the midwest. As such, you'd think this would be getting much more publicity with women's groups and other factions. My question is: Where are these groups...

    I'm sure there has been... but they made sure to take care of that first so just that woudn't happen. on a side note, just had someone ask me: "if my daughter was given a full ride scholarship to go to Iowa..." would i take it. I said no, absolutely not. I would pay for my daughter to go...

    I was wondering... what if something similar happened at ISU? Do you think there would be MORE media coverage? or less? I think there would be more simply going with history on how Eustacy was Demonized and that Iowa has spin-doctor department that is far superior to our own.

    All Iowa needs to do is win a couple games to get the short-lived memory of this incident to go away. The University of Iowa is such a big employer and has such a large fan base that nothing will ever come of this at all. I honestly wonder if the same thing happened at ISU or UNI if things...

    Don't Iowa fans already call us "Clowns?" we're just trying to fit the name. Besides, it is the state fair and there are more things coming out of the woodwork other than Cy-hats.... like the million Mullet March.... *shudders* :biggrin:

    after the way the played against us, i can actually see a 5-7 season for them. Sadly, we just coudn't get anything going on O, which just was begging for the U of I win. We shut them down 3 out of the 4 quarters with just one field goal in their favor. If thats a prelude to what's in store...
