    Good, honest question. In 2018 I would say the 8 was good. It’s the 12 members of the class that didn’t contribute meaningful minutes that concerned me.

    2018 had some great recruits for sure but overall the class had less than a 50% hit rate. Of the 22 committed players only 8 were top contributors and only 10 saw meaningful minutes.

    Mandel, Edwards and Shine are possible. Jenkins doesn’t sound likely now. Chenault may also still be an option at CB. I see them waiting until December to figure out what they need and what transfers are available once they know what this group has done.

    I’d say Sanders, Gaines or Moore on offense and McLaughlin on D.

    He has to stay healthy first. Hasn’t shown the durability to be a premier B12 back.

    The Heltons have committed to ISU. Looks like OL is done unless Mandell wanted to commit. I expect we’ll still recruit 2 CBs, 1 DT, 1 RE, 1 WR and Witt Edwards as an Ath.

    Tampa had a commit-able offer from Georgia as an athlete . Hardly a ho-hum recruit.

    Yes and no. The ratings may change. Regarding where these guys were on the board, many are second and third tier targets. Look at who they were contacting In March and April. They were looking at the LBs in Iowa and Kansas and OL in Wisc. All those guys either committed elsewhere or ISU moved on...
