SIAP: Weird Play Clock Issue From Last Saturday

What the hell was going on with this? This was a huge play of the game, and ISU's offense seemed out of sorts before the snap. It may have impacted the timing of this play, which was extremely close to working for a TD.

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

It should've been way worse. The only time Tech's offense was that totally shut out was in 2018 in Manhattan, when we had 1 scholarship QB available with torn ligaments in his knee and it was also like -4 degrees. Through the first 4 possessions of the game, it was 21-7 even though Iowa State...

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

It's very strange that two of the biggest butt whippings put on Tech in some time were games where ISU outscored Tech by an average of 13 points per game. These past two games could've (should've?) been as bad as 66-10 was.

It may have looked like that. But to say we didn't try would take away from the total ass kicking that you guys put on us.

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

If you listen to our coaches, they appear to be more concerned with Bailey, which might make McDonald the more effective pass rusher on Saturday. I don't expect Iowa State to have more than 1 sack on Saturday. It's not really worth sending DEs screaming up field against Tech's offense, unless...

ISU opens as 14 pt favorite vs TTU

To be fair, last year's Tech/ISU game was the most lopsided 10-point win I may have ever witnessed.

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

Maybe not. Texas has some really outstanding pass rushers. I think Bailey & Ossai are probably 1A & 1B in the conference, although the Stills guys at WVU may have something to say about that. We get the ball out so quick that a great pass rush doesn't tend to have the effect you normally...

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

I'm expecting a *close* game. But I think a distinction for close should be made because I expect it to track a lot like last year's game, which was not close at all in reality. If Iowa State defends Tech the way they did last year, Tech will run the ball a ton and throw a ton of underneath...

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

Besides the last time we won, which was sort of a weird game because no one knew who Pat Mahomes was, Kingsbury's last game in Ames was about as good as Tech has played Iowa State. Our defense played really well despite the 40-31 final score. I think we might've scored 1 or 2 defensive...

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

Ya... it's been a total blood bath. Last year's game in LBK was arguably the worst anyone not named OU has beat Tech in ~25 games, even if the scoreboard didn't reflect it.

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

I would venture to guess a vast, vast majority of Tech's passes are behind or within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. We will be playing the following players at LT/RT on Saturday: A grad transfer from Wofford (flexbone) A SO Juco Transfer a True FR (who was out last week with an injury)...

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

Greetings CycyloneFanatic, here's a few random notes I put together and posted on a Tech board. Thought it might interest a few of you as well. Iowa State has not thrown the ball very much this year. 90 drop backs by a QB, and they've been sacked (4) more than they've thrown a TD (2). 40%...
