    Iowa vs Penn State

Really? Only "the Kinnick faithful"? You didn't hear the announcers voice that exact statement, that Penn St players were faking injuries whenever Goodson had a good run? And to the announcers' point, every player but Clifford was back on the field ONE PLAY later!

All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

According to the two-deeps set before the Liberty Bowl, Iowa State loses Lazard, Ryen, Murdock, Campos, Garcia, Larson, and Kempt on offense. That's a lot of receiving corps and offensive line to replace. On devense, they lose Waggoner, Trent, Edwards, Lanning, Alexander Wilkerson, and...

    2018 Football Targets

Not so sure on that. According to US News & World Report, ASU is ranked #42 in the US in engineering schools; ISU is ranked #45. Makes it kind of a toss up except the kid is from Arizona. https://www.usnews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-engineering-schools/eng-rankings/page+2

    Niang's 4th Foul

If you DON'T think he undercut the UVA player, you didn't see the replay. His feet were moving to position him under the UVA player while the player was in the air. As I said before, Georges was very fortunate he didn't get that called a foul.

    Niang's 4th Foul

Georges BEGAN in a position to rebound and had him boxed out. He continued to move under the UVA player while he was in the air. I've seen player's careers taken away because of such a move. Georges was extremely fortunate not to have a foul called on that play.

Eisenberg: Why blaming Steve Prohm for Iowa State's shortcomings is unfair

Ahhh. So what my college coach preached for all four years of my college career is "high school coach BS"? (The guy won over 500 games as a college coach) Yes, the matchups are bad, but there's no help to be had. Defense is a TEAM effort. As another poster says, MT actually does put in the...

Eisenberg: Why blaming Steve Prohm for Iowa State's shortcomings is unfair

I'll give you that. However, with the others not playing D, MT looks worse on D. After all, when you expect the help to be there and funnel your opponent to a particular place and your teammate isn't there... you look bad.

Eisenberg: Why blaming Steve Prohm for Iowa State's shortcomings is unfair

The point is, with freedom of speech comes responsibility. Just because you're an anonymous poster or one with an alias doesn't mean you have the right to be a jerk (or worse). When you post something you should definitely be held accountable for that. That being said, a simple difference of...

Eisenberg: Why blaming Steve Prohm for Iowa State's shortcomings is unfair

Complaining about over the back non-calls or being shoved and/or pulled when you are in the paint is like complaining about being held in the interior line in football. It happens every single play. It has for at least 50 years. Deal with it. This team is soft on the interior. With McKay playing...

Eisenberg: Why blaming Steve Prohm for Iowa State's shortcomings is unfair

But the point is this: playing defense is simply making a conscious decision to do so. EVERY reasonably athletic basketball player can be a decent to good defensive player; he just has to WANT to be that defensive player. Rebounding is very much the same way. You can't treat defense and...

We will be better next year if Monte comes back and healthy Naz

I would agree that they won't drop off, but it's a big IF that Morris returns. I believe he heads to the NBA draft. The only thing he lacks is an outside shot, but his mechanics are pretty good so the outside shot will come around.

When to cheer for the Hawkeyes?

Not sure how you arrived at these numbers. With both teams having the same number of opponents, I can't figure out how ISU's opponents have played 77 games and Iowa's opponents have only played 69. The numbers could be about 2 weeks old but they still don't match the numbers I found for each...

When to cheer for the Hawkeyes?

Sadly, no. They do not know what they're saying.

When to cheer for the Hawkeyes?

Nope. You're wrong. Other than the Iowa/ISU game, I root for the Cyclones, and I know a LOT of Hawkeye fans who do as well. I also root for the Drake Bulldogs and the ISU Panthers. I root for all the sports teams of all the D1 schools in Iowa. During the UAB/ISU game, I could tell ISU was...

When to cheer for the Hawkeyes?

OMG. You want to kill the members of both teams, the coaching staffs of both teams as well as all the spectators? You have some serious issues.

SEC Myth - Iowa Nice Guy

While this might be rather clever in your mind, it's just that - in your mind. What happened last season has nothing to do with this season.

SEC Myth - Iowa Nice Guy

What's true? That a guy who would wear an Alabama t-shirt and an Alabama hat with obvious Alabama fandom bias would let his kids wear Auburn t-shirts? That's like an ISU fan letting his kids wear Iowa (or worse, Nebraska) t-shirts.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

Only on the scoreboard... and that is after Iowa left 10 points on the field. The battle in the trenches was decided with about 2 minutes left in the first half. After that, Iowa completely won both sides of the line. When the line wins, typically the team wins.
