RECRUITING: Jarrod Uthoff set to visit later this week

I respectfully ask you to look at the language within that article. "And Uthoff would have to sit again after redshirting this past season." As in the this past season of 2011-12. So: 2011-12 - redshirt year; 2012-13 - sits anywhere he goes and pays own way at Iowa; 2013-On can play and have...

RECRUITING: Jarrod Uthoff set to visit later this week

What's your point. That is exactly what I said. Anywhere he goes, he has to sit again after redshirting last year leaving him with........... hmmmm 5 - 1 at Wisconsin - 1 anywhere else equals 3 years of eligibility. Knew you couldn't read but for an "engineering school" I figured you could...

RECRUITING: Jarrod Uthoff set to visit later this week

I'm pretty sure that isn't accurate anymore since about February of this year. Went to the last few games and the energy is definitely returning to CHA. They are playing fast paced basketball, beating some really good teams, and getting some very good recruits. That is a program on the rise...

RECRUITING: Jarrod Uthoff set to visit later this week

In case anyone wanted to read it..... bottom of this article. Uthoff probably won’t appeal Big Ten release restrictions | Iowa Prep Sports

RECRUITING: Jarrod Uthoff set to visit later this week

Just for clarification. Uthoff hasn't visited Iowa because that has been barred by Wisconsin. That does not mean mutual parties cannot communicate, just not directly. Furthermore, someone mentioned that he would have to pay his own way and then sit out an additional year if he went to Iowa...

Et tu Barkley? And Ishmail? - Hill to Iowa

Re: Et tu Barkley? And Ishmail? Al, is someone a little sour? I remember personally hearing you rave about this kid and how he will make Iowa pay. I guess we'll just see how he turns out.

    Prediction: Iowa @ ISU

Vandenberg has actually played quite a bit. Three games in 2009 including at Ohio State. Some mop up duty last year, and Tenn Tech. As for a prediction: Iowa 38-10 as the backups give up a late TD to ISU like last year.

    Walk on invites?

Walk-ons??? Just was wondering, how many preferred walk-ons does ISU usually take each year and do many eventually get scholarships as they get older? Then are there any notable walk-ons this year from Iowa high schools you could highlight?

    Player Profile: Sam Richardson (QB)

I respectfully disagree but that is what these forums are for..... discussion. I just wouldn't be surprised if they were to eventually move him to WR like an Austin Flynn. Just the way he moves in space makes me think of a possession receiver. Not saying it will happen but he definately has...

    Player Profile: Sam Richardson (QB)

In response to all the critics of my Derby comparison, I was comparing the fact that both look to be more athletes than polished QB's. I'm not going to break down every aspect of their game film. But as someone did note, like Derby he's just not ready to go yet. As for whoever said Derby won't...

    Player Profile: Sam Richardson (QB)

While I do see good potential in this kid, I saw some things in his film that will need work. He doesn't ALWAYS make good decisions such as throwing the ball into heavy traffic. Good D-I defensive players will break on those a lot more than high school kids. He definately likes to hit...

Who's on your in state wish list?

As I have heard it Clark from SEP is really into Iowa but that's just through the grapevine. DeVos is a wild card but should be good whereever he lands. And I believe Peters is also an Iowa lean. I really thought that Meeks might end up going to ISU but I guess I was wrong about that one...

    Grant Rohach rated on Scout

That is a big commitment for Rhoads. Not just for the potential talent the kid brings but how it will also look to other recruits. I will say that following what dbqhawk is saying some rankings don't accurately reflect a players talents not always because they are wrong but sometimes because...

    Recruiting Priorities

Sorry. I'm just not very aware of what your team has coming back and coming up. I figured that the fanbase would have some opinion as to strengths and weaknesses for positions in the next year or so.

    Recruiting Priorities

As a member on HawkeyeReport as well, we've been discussing Iowa's recruting needs as recuiting heats up with the summer camps on the horizon. What are ISU's recruiting priorities???

    Anthony Tucker to Iowa State?

While Tucker can AT TIMES hit the long shots, his attitude is awful. Even if he walks on at ISU he will act like he owns the place and will do anything to get and keep the ball. Then he goes out and celebrates because he will have diminished accountablity as a walk-on. BEWARE!!!!
