Chocolate "cake" at the Lakeside Grille, Thousand Hills State Park, Kirksville, MO (this is chocolate mousse on top of a chocolate shortbread cookie) and finished with a hard-shell ganache. Surprise ending to a pretty standard menu. (Aug 2023) -

It was good, but they didn't use a "real" baguette (like the ones we had at a Vietnamese food shop in Christchurch, New Zealand). Their spring rolls were good, too. Did not try the pho, but would go back for it. -
