    Congrats from a Ute fan

Hey Clones, just a quick note of congratulations from a Utah fan. Many of us really enjoyed the trip out to Ames last year and even more of us became Clone fans over watching Paul Rhoads at work and hearing about the classy folks in the stadium. I was really excited to watch you beat the...

More congrats from a Ute fan

Nice job Clones, what a game! Defense was awesome, the lines were solid, Paul Rhoads is officially my second favorite coach, and Texas Memorial Stadium was a library. Wooohooo! Congrats on a huge win!

    Good luck Saturday, Cyclones.

LOL, living in another "nice" part of the country, you should see this as a big setup to be condescending if we win. You don't do that do you? Out here we call those BYU fans... Actually, you guys have been a breath of fresh air. This is kind of like how I expect our "rivalry" with Colorado...

    Good luck Saturday, Cyclones.

I think for most Ute fans, tomorrow can't come fast enough. It's a been a string of soft games, and then a BYE WEEK. There have been some chippy threads over at utefans.net, lol. Tomorrow can't come fast enough. Another Ute poster said he had new favorite teams from the kind of fans we've...

Breaking down Utah--looking forward to the game

That's probably right about Graham not running in the Utah game. My only memory of him from the broadcast is a shot of him standing on the sideline. They had a beef back (Hynoski?) that took snaps along with Dion. Not sure what Dion's issue is, but he seems to be in a slump. I don't recall...

The Numbers: Iowa State vs. Utah

I think Baron got back to you on this, but Utah's enjoyed a lot of short fields from the punt game and defensive turnovers. We've left some points on the field but possession to scoring ratio is pretty high. So far. I expect averages to fall as the competition improves.

Breaking down Utah--looking forward to the game

Aselhu, I appreciated your statistical breakdown. On Pitt's backs, you are right. Dion was Pitt's starter last year and had an 1,800 yard season. He was on a lot of Heisman short lists before the season. Holding him to under 3 ypc looked like an achievement. He's continued his slump until he got...

Not just us, Sloup. The coach sets the tone for all of us. Here's what he said: Utah Utes football: Squad focused on Cyclones, not high ranking | Deseret News

Breaking down Utah--looking forward to the game

Only IMO, but we go to sleep when we get ahead, we fumble too much, and commit too many penalties. If we keep those under control, the team should be good. Run defense was soft in the middle last year, but not anymore. LBs are inexperienced so you might have success on plays that force them to...

Breaking down Utah--looking forward to the game

Hey Cyclone fans. Another Ute fan here, replying to the request to talk about why Utah is good this year as opposed to teams of the past. I posted this in another thread but thought I'd break it out to a new one so other fans could add their own views easier. Your performance last week is good...

    I don't buy Utah

About Utah this year Hey Cyclone fans. Another Ute fan here, replying to the request to talk about why Utah is good this year as opposed to teams of the past. Most of the starters on the team that beat Alabama are gone--a little less than half of them were drafted (6 last year, 4 in 2009) and...
