Not sure about this but remember Eric Steyer was on a National Merit Scholarship as a walk-on. Also Doug McDermott's Senior year he was a walk-on since Greg paid his tuition to give another player that had been granted another year of eligibility.
Thread title a little misleading - competed with #5 team in country and ran out of gas at the end. To me being taken behind the woodshed is a non-competitive game from beginning to end. As far as summary TLDR
NO IDEA what kind of student he is but getting admitted to ND is not an easy thing to do. Guessing walk-ons would not get a favorable lean from the admissions dept.
I watched a good portion of the UCF - Cinci game - UCF had pretty much the same looks against Cinci as they did against us - they just missed them (and most were not close). Cinci was playing the same zone we did for the whole time I watched.
In fairness - Rob Gray did the reaction Pod with Chris after the game and said that he did not watch either because he did not have Longhorn Network. I do think it shows even Longhorn fans are not willing to pay for the network either.
The article I saw said it was funded by the athletic department but would seek donations but did not specify if any had been pledged. I have been in that facility for AAU basketball and just felt it was way overkill for a wrestling practice facility. The facility is HUGE!
I will be very surprised to see much new capital projects until the SA compensation issue is resolved. The tennis and volleyball upgrades kind of made sense since the tennis was a sort of shared facility and volleyball a renovation. The wrestling was kind of a shocker with a $20 million price...
From the courts and Congress doesn't seem like it will matter if the schools accept it - will the players accept it. The only reason Professional Sports are regulated is because of collective bargaining agreements, without those they would be the wild west too.
Looks like a professional team that uses all of their salary cap on a couple stars. LSU has NO bench and if they have any foul trouble (like when Reese fouled out) they have no competent backups.
I do not think that is correct - I think Jamie has said publicly that he does not want alcohol sales in the stands and has said it will not happen at ISU as long as he is in charge.
I wonder if she will be extremely cautious with her return. The WNBA Draft and season is right after the college season so if I was advising her I would make sure she is back to full strength with no chance of relapse so ensure her smooth transition to the professional game.
Conspiracy theory - TCU moved up two spots in the NET by not playing and ISU dropped two with the loss. TCU better off for metrics to not play than lose.
The TCU forfeit also stinks because it may be a win that we need for the NCAA - the release says it counts in conference record but not regular season record.
