    Chris Ash named secondary coach

    On Cyclones.com Ash first came to Iowa State in 2000 as a defensive graduate assistant under Dan McCarney. He was promoted to secondary coach in 2002 and served in that capacity through 2006. Ash was named recruiting coordinator for that last season.

    On some level, everyone expected Chizik to use the Iowa State job as a stepping stone. A new up-and-coming type coach would likely be aspire to an Auburn-type job. Turner Gill would undoubtedly love a shot at the Nebraska job if he got one. Should Pollard test his luck again?
