    Brockington has ups

Dude can seriously elevate and is an impressive dunker. He will definitely be in the top-ten dunkers at ISU. That is all.

When does the Cap City League start up...

I'm already jonesin' for more basketball. Yeah, I know it's not real basketball, but still looking forward to it.

Man, I'm excited about tonight's game

Anyone else excited about tonight's game? Looks like it could be a decent test, at least a lot tougher than the exhibition teams we played. Idaho State appears to have a pretty decent guard court, so that should be interesting to see how that plays out. I'm hoping for a 30-point win.

    what's a "preferred walk-on"?

I see that Alex Door(sp?) from Norwalk is listed in the Dendy article as a "referred walk-on". I know this has been explained before, but I don't remember... What's the difference between a preferred and a, what, regular, walk-on? Also, has anyone seen him play? Does he really have the...

    What happened to Eikmeier?

I see in various threads that he is "not healthy". What's up with that?

    Three Cheers for Lucca

I was really happy to see Lucca have a good game. Looks like he can bring his deadly 3-pt shooting threat to the D-I level. But even more impressive than his shooting, IMO, is his passing. He had some beautiful passes. Very heady player.

    simplified offense

During the half-time interview with assistant coach Jeff Rutter, he said (I'm paraphrasing here) that ISU simplified the offense in order to take advantage of the opportunities that come against the Mizzu's press. Just thought that was a smart, interesting move, considering all the discussion...

Should be an interesting matchup tonight...

I don't have a good feeling about this one. Bethune-Cookman has the ingredients that give us problems: experienced guards who create a lot of turnovers and overall good defense (33rd in the country). Plus, we're coming off a long break and finals, and we'll probably be rusty. On the plus...

    interesting petition quote

Came across the following entry (#3179) in the online petition: "I used to play with Lucca in one of the Urspring youth teams. What he did is the only right way in Germany to be able to play on a high level later on. Whe do not have these High-School sport-programms like you do in the US...

    Rahshon best defensive player since?

Rahshon has really stepped up his man-to-man defense under McDermott, and he's emerged as a defensive stopper. It's obvious he takes as much pride in and works as hard at his defense as his offensive game (which isn't too shabby either). I think he may be our best defensive player since...

    props to Brister

Anyone else pleasantly surprised by Brister? Yeah, he got a little out of control at times, but he also played extremely well at times, too. He's got a good handle and has the potential to be an outstanding passer. A good example of his potential was when he drove from the left side under the...

top 64 college teams from Rivals

Here's a link to Rival's pre-season top 64. There must be a typo, because they have NU listed at #46. Huh????

Is anyone else sick of the Hy-Vee Cy-Hawk ads?

Yeah, it was kind of funny the first time I heard it, but it has lost its effect, being repeated 10 zillion times. It makes me NOT want to buy from Hy-Vee. Can't they come up with a new ad campaign? Or just say they sponsor the Cy-Hawk trophy, and leave it at that? How long are they going to...

    detlef schrempf involved

Great interview with McDermott on KXNO this morning. He talked some about the Staiger situation. Mentioned that Detlef Schrempf had contacted him and was up in arms and wanted to know what he could do to help. I doubt there's much he can do, other than offer moral support, but that's cool...
