What does Chris Babb bring to the table?

And another thing, I fully stick by what I said in regards to Babb and Ejim. Babb has a much more refined offensive game at this point. He's a good shooter and he can tote the rock. Other than size, he and Ejim are completely different players. At this point, Ejim relies on his athleticism...

What does Chris Babb bring to the table?

Apparently saying someone needs to improve in certain areas is a major slight and completely uncalled for on this board.

What does Chris Babb bring to the table?

This cracks me up. Really, you think I was insinuating that? Come on dude.

What does Chris Babb bring to the table?

Bipolarcy & clonedude, you both missed the boat completely on what I was trying to say. Ejim was very good at coming up with loose balls and made some great hustle plays. His offensive rebounding kept us in a lot of close games and he thrived off of floating around the basket and positioning...

What does Chris Babb bring to the table?

Guys, I'm one of Ejim's biggest supporters but I'm calling a spade a spade. Everybody adamantly cites the fact that he was playing out of position, but there are areas of his game that need vast improvement, and this isn't anything that the staff or Ejim doesn't know. I fully expect him to...

Great Article re: NBA Player Development

That linked to a normal preview type story of the Heat-Bulls series. I was expecting something pertaining to...oh...I don't know, NBA Player Development.

What does Chris Babb bring to the table?

Where should we begin. Ejim has no touch from the outside and had trouble putting it on the deck and taking it to the rack. Furthermore, during the conference season, Ejim proved to be little more than a garbage/hustle bucket guy and a decent rebounder. Babb has a whole more offensively...

What does Chris Babb bring to the table?

I don't remember anyone saying that. Anyone that did was/is pretty dumb.

What does Chris Babb bring to the table?

Don't be one bit surprised if Babb leads our team in 3pt% this year. He can flat stroke it from outside and teams are going to have serious issues locking down Christopherson, Babb and Allen. Defensively, he moves well and can guard just about any wing player, which will be a tremendous asset...

Basabe trying out for USA U-19 team

Second best freshman in the Big Ten? Well, Sullinger was obviously the best. If you look at just numbers, you could say that Basabe might have been the second best. I don't know that he had a better year than Tim Hardaway Jr though. And while the numbers may not support it, Aaron Craft was...

    ESPN Big 12 Poll (Jantz)

If Barnett is the best guy, I'm all for it. I definitely think he could be the best runner out of the QBs, but you're right, at the spring game we didn't get a great glimpse of what he can do throwing the ball. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he sees some action this year.

    ESPN Big 12 Poll (Jantz)

It's even more surprising since Ubben has done his returning leaders features and Knott topped two of them that he's done in the last week.

    ESPN Big 12 Poll (Jantz)

Instead of voting for Jantz, how about we fill up Ubben's email chiding him for not including Jake Knott in his poll for Defensive Player of the Year. That's a joke that Knott isn't even an option. Arthur Brown from K-St is though? Brown is all hype and hasn't proven a damn thing yet.

POLL: Put your GM hat on fanatics

Yes, all three have bowl victories. Also, if we could get a healthy Arnaud, I might lean that way with Lamaak being my second choice and either Sims or Franklin being a third choice.

    DG is impressing some scouts

Important note on Rondo as well. He was originally drafted by the Suns and at the time, was considered a long term project and eventual successor to Steve Nash, so teams definitely saw his value. The Suns however, in their infinite wisdom traded his rights almost immediately because they were...

    DG is impressing some scouts

That's a different argument. My reply was strictly related to a prior comment about them being athletically similar. Playing style wise, I think DG is a better shooter right now than Rondo and will have a chance because he's developing as a shooter. Michael Redd was a terrible shooter coming out...

    DG is impressing some scouts

I'm with you. Rondo is one of the better athletes in the league. As far as true point guards go, Rose, Wall, Westbrook are better athletes than Rondo, but that's about it. Chris Paul is an exceptional athlete, but Paul isn't known for explosion, but instead quickness and agility, so he's a...

    Hawkeye Media Bias

I agree with that. The Hubbard story is new to Iowans and mid-westerners, plus, with the timespan of what he's been through, his story is about redemption and this is his second chance. With DJK and Adam Robinson, the ink was barely dry on the articles that were written about them following...

    Olu Ashaolu

Hopefully he opts for the west coast. If we can't have him, I certainly don't want to be in a situation where we have to play against him at least twice next season.
