    ***Official State Fair Confessions***

Eh, I've been going to the fair on East Side night for 15 years and have yet to really see anything that's anymore "dangerous" than on any other night at the fair.

    ***Official State Fair Confessions***

As an East High grad, I'm obligated to go to the fair on East Side night, but other than that, I'd prefer to avoid it. One night of drinking overpriced beer and seeing a few tools that never did anything with their lives other than of course becoming "diehard" hawk fans is enough for me.

Does anyone know who this is??

She hugged her coach right after the match. I think that might be him.

Michael Phelps "probably" is not Greatest Olympian

Look, I'm in the Phelps camp, but I think everyone is discounting T&F athletes a little too much here, throwing out ridiculous statements like, "If they want to be the greatest, be great in more than one or two events". That's pretty dumb. Don't you think if T&F athletes were capable of doing...

Michael Phelps "probably" is not Greatest Olympian

Phelps is in the discussion, but I liken his achievements to Hank Aaron. Hammerin' Hank has the most career home runs (non asterisk) but few people would say he's the greatest baseball player of all time. I'm not versed enough in Olympic history and all the events to truly say who is and who...

Alert: GAMING & GROUPS THREAD - Will have to opt-in starting Monday

Chris, if it means anything coming from me, you did the right thing. I regularly visit other B12 message boards and while just about all of them have a different format than CF, all of them have separate forums for the gaming and internet grab *** like the mafia and haxball nerdery.

Who had the best NBA career?

Jeff Hornacek NBA & ABA Statistics | Basketball-Reference.com Hornacek easily. Pretty sure he's the only Cyclone to play in an All-star game.

    Las Vegas

I believe you're referring to the Deuce, or at least that's what we called it. We took it down to Fremont St and back. You can buy 24-hour passes which I seem to remember were a good deal, but in all honesty, I don't really remember. I got drunk on the plane the one time I went out there and...

Step-grapevine-step*clap* (do same except opposite way) Step back-gather-step back Lean back-tap front toe Should forward tap back toe Drag foot-hop-clap Change direction and repeat. That's the Electric Slide brotha. (feel free to mix in some extra spice)

    NBA: Playoff Time

Pretty much impossible not to like Durant. Hell, even Sooner fans love him.

No way the Thunder don't close this out in game 6. What an effort to go to San Antonio and pull this one out.

    Martensdale-St Mary's streak over

Completely agree, especially when you factor in a dominant pitcher. Speaking of good pitching, how about East's Colby Carmichael tonight. 7 innings, 2 hits, 14ks...and he's a sophomore. That stat line is unofficial, but I'm pretty sure several of MSM's runs were unearned due to a few errors.

    Martensdale-St Mary's streak over

I'm an East alum and have mixed feelings about this. Happy for the East kids to go down to MSM and pick up a big win on the road, but it's kind of bizarre that one of the biggest schools in the state was playing a 1A school...a very good 1A school, but still a 1A school.

    Biking Trails

These are all pretty good. The Raccoon River Valley Trail is actually pretty decent. Did Windsor Heights to Redfield twice last summer. Only bad stretch is when you're out in the open just west of Waukee. Can get really windy along HW 6.

Wow, what an ending. Great match.

    Keagan Parks

Adam Haluska ran a 10.1, which is the all time state record but was severely wind aided. I remember Marques Simmons running in the 10s a few times and I'm pretty sure Hakim Hill did as well.

    No Virginia Next Year

Haven't seen this mentioned yet, but with us losing this home game, it could prove tough finding a BCS level school to come to Hilton next season. We don't have much leverage in this situation as we're the ones actively pursuing a BCS school to come to our house as the first part of a home and...

    NBA: LeBron James wins MVP

Oh yeah, Lebron's got some catching up to do. I think he gets one this year and ultimately ends up with 4-5 total. He's 27 and provided he stays healthy and can continue to develop a post up game, he's got 5-6 more years of high end, elite play left in him, followed by a few years of all star...
