Question for Thought. Is this KY Team the most dominant BB team in College History.

Re: Question for Thought. Is this KY Team the most dominant BB team in College Hist I would say teams from previous eras are better. This Kentucky team is a great example of why. These Kentucky kids are physically imposing and athletic but they aren't what anyone would call highly skilled...

Re: Question for Thought. Is this KY Team the most dominant BB team in College Hist This. West Virginia had plenty of opportunities to shoot open jumpers from the perimeter but there was one problem... West Virginia can't shoot for ****. I failed to understand why the West Virginia...

I don't think anyone is saying ISU had a bad season. The overall season as a whole was another step in the right direction. The overall health of the program is very good and the trajectory is still on the rise. It was a perfect storm really. ISU was so close to making a really deep run last...

I think the expectations for football will be very realistic this coming fall. Personally... I'll be impressed if Rhoads can get one game in the W column this season. As for basketball... it's a little different. 4 straight 20 win seasons, 4 straight NCAA Tournaments, the longest current...

It's interesting... You despise the "spoiled brat" fans because they are making judgments and voicing their opinions about the team and their performance in the UAB game. Then you run your mouth and make judgments about others with this holier than thou attitude. Irony isn't lost on you is...

It isn't that some fans have become spoiled brats. Some fans that watched the UAB meltdown in the NCAA Tournament are trying to understand how an epic fail of that proportion was possible. Let's just be glad that ISU has passionate fans that actually care about the program.

Maryland loss... The Terps shoot 44% from the field and 42% from three. They beat ISU on the boards 39-38 with 10 offensive boards. South Carolina loss... The Gamecocks shoot 46% from the field and 20% from three (only took 10 in the game). They beat ISU on the boards 42-34 with 11...

It was a good season. Could it have been better? No doubt about it. Jim Calhoun said it best after the game... "defense has been a problem for Iowa State all season and it cost them in that game." http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=12515056

How many of those teams are ranked in the top 50 in defensive efficiency? 1. Kentucky 4. Arizona 6. Louisville 8. Wichita State 9. Utah 12. Oklahoma 24. Gonzaga 34. Wisconsin 45. West Virginia That is 9 of the remaining 16 teams in the NCAA Tournament are ranked 45th or better...

I enjoyed this season and this team did accomplish a lot of great things. It was a fun ride. With that being said I can also see with my own 2 eyes that this team had some glaring weaknesses. When the shots weren't falling they lost because they didn't defend very well and they weren't tough...

One game... yeah... the most important game they played all season. Where did ISU struggle this year? Defense and rebounding. Offense is fun... throwing down dunks and flashing their 3-goggles as they rained 3's down on their opponent. Defense and rebounding well that isn't nearly as...

Where was the team's swagger and toughness against UAB? The team showed no energy... no fire the entire game. Where was the team that was taunting the opposing teams fans in Iowa City? Where was the team that was talking trash against Kansas? Where was the team doing chest bumps at media...

    Naive Hok bball fans . . .

The trajectory of the programs in this state are on different levels. UNI had great success until they finally faced a team with a pulse... and their season was over. Will UNI be that good next season? Seth Tuttle... gone. Deon Mitchell... gone. Nate Buss... gone. UNI's wave of...

    I'm struggling with this -

I'm already over it. I really enjoyed watching this team play throughout the season and they accomplished about all that they realistically could. When they were focused on the task at hand they played at an extremely high level. When they weren't focused they played at the level of a high...

Official Post-Game Meltdown - You Post Here

Well... our guys managed to allow a team with far less talent beat them because they had far more desire. That is the most pathetic way of all to lose a game.

Who else would LOVE to play Iowa in Sweet 16?

Didn't they just get beat by Penn State on a neutral court? Better team then we are willing to admit? :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

Who else would LOVE to play Iowa in Sweet 16?

The odds of Iowa actually making it to the Sweet 16 to face ISU are pretty much zero. With that being said it makes me sick to see so many Clone fans wetting their pants about a potential matchup with Iowa. For God's sake... we just ran through the Big XII Tournament and took home the...

Big 12 in the dance ...

If Perry Ellis can be at about 80% for the opening weekend I think KU walks into the Sweet 16. I'm shocked at how many people (and analysts) are picking Wichita State to beat the Jayhawks... it's not going to happen. KU is a big step up in class compared to the garbage teams that WSU has...

I love the comment "ISU is an elite team but not an elite athletic team". That is someone that hasn't seen ISU play. You simply can't play at the tempo the Cyclones do without having a very athletic team. I can't wait for them to see BDJ and McKay throwing down showtime dunks on their boys.
