Best player to wear #45 at Iowa State???

I am starting a project similar to the "All-Time ISU Football Roster" we did a few years ago. This one will be for Men's Basketball. I figured let's debate the numbers in question before putting out the whole list this time. So, have at it - vote and debate ... who is the best player to wear #45...

    Big 10 announcers

The production of the game wasn't great (missed plays, etc.) but the biggest problem behind the mic was Chuck Long. Kugler is a pro and I'm starting to like Martin as an analyst, but Long is not a broadcaster and clearly couldn't handle being neutral. Case and point: Chuck Long reaction on the...

Cyclones and the College Football Hall of Fame

works for me lol ... and by that rationale, one would expect Pete Carroll and Mack Brown to be there eventually as well

Cyclones and the College Football Hall of Fame

FiredUpCyclone is correct. Majors does not have a high enough winning percentage, and those last 4 years at Pitt killed his record.

Cyclones and the College Football Hall of Fame

I know there is another thread about the College Football Hall of Fame, but it seems to only discuss Troy Davis. Here's a look at all Cyclones that have either been enshrined or are currently eligible for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame ... Cyclones enshrined in the College...

none of these guys besides LJ have a prayer of making a roster - good chance he doesn't stick with TB either - that's just reality

    Cyclone FB: Top 20 QB

It is very hard to distinguish and designate positions of players who played over 50 years ago. modern football, much like most sports, has turned into a specialized game ; whereas in the 60s and before, almost everyone played both ways and it was not unusual for guys to play multiple or unique...

    Cyclone FB: Top 20 QB

Oh come on now, out with it. Whodat? BTW, I have let such things influence my rankings ... for example, how I ranked Ed Williams on the WR list  // inversely how I ranked Ty Watley

    Cyclone FB: Top 20 QB

I absolutely consider such factors, but only when I have knowledge of them. I'm not old enough to have watched any Cyclones team play before the mid-80s, so before then I have to defer to either people that were around then or rely on the numbers and accomplishments of the player. I have a...

    Omaha Clones?

Your office is just down the road from my new office, but I couldn't tell you much about housing in Omaha. We own a house in, and I am commuting from Waverly (small town near Lincoln) and that takes me just under 40 minutes.

I agreed with Kirk, dude just didn't play enough

    Cyclone FB: Top 20 QB

Remember that Kirk is the numbers guy and we do these lists without sharing information. Had I access to the passer ratings numbers, I definitely would have moved Oberg up my list. However, I still have him below both Meyer and Arnaud.
