I don't see any Iowa opponents in the top-15

Other than the Cy-Hawk trophy that looks a lot like ISU's trophy case since it seems to be missing a trophy full of oranges.

I don't see any Iowa opponents in the top-15

You're right it isn't even an argument, I just showed some facts that have 6 Big Ten teams in the top 25 compared to 4 from the Big 12 and 7 Big Ten teams in the top 33 compared to 5 from the Big 12.

I don't see any Iowa opponents in the top-15

I think you should use these rankings where the Big Ten has 6 teams in the top 25 compared to 4 for the Big 12. Yes the Big 12 is still tougher, but due to the downfall of A&M, Baylor and Tech it isn't quite as tough as it was 6 weeks ago. RealTimeRPI.com College Football Power Ratings...

    Based on past performance....

Would you happen to know the next winning Powerball numbers as well? What is funny is wre138 isn't around anymore after spending the whole off season telling us how Nebraska would run away with the division and the Big Ten title because they had the best D in the Big Ten. So I guess we will...

    Based on past performance....

Nebraska isn't even going to win the division let alone the conference. I will be shocked if they don't at least split their next two games between @Penn State and @Michigan and wouldn't be shocked if they lost both either. And yet Nebraska owned the Big 12 North.

    Bowl Projections- Rivals Nov 1st

I'm not sure how to read this: The Big Ten has 8 bowl spots available (includes 1 BCS team) so if only 8 teams are bowl eligible I don't know if the Ticket City Bowl could take a 6-6 Iowa over a 7-5 Illinois knowing that Illinois would have to be selected by the Little Caesar's Bowl since they...

    Bowl Projections- Rivals Nov 1st

Unless Iowa only wins 1 more game and is 6-6 and Illinois wins one more game and finishes 7-5, in that case any 7-5 team must be picked before a 6-6 team. If Iowa finishes 6-6 they are going to Detroit, if they somehow win 2 more games and get to 7-5 you are correct and Dallas would be the worst...

OWH Barfknecht: Shouldn't Iowa get more from Ferentz?

I think Ferentz is the right coach, he just needs to make some changes on his staff. Right now Norm does 0 recruiting and having a coach on the staff that doesn't do any recruiting puts you at a disadvantage IMO. So Norm needs to be kindly shoved out the door and replaced with someone that...

OWH Barfknecht: Shouldn't Iowa get more from Ferentz?

Can't say I see anything wrong with the article. But then again I think I'm one of the few that thinks if Iowa wants to charge elite program prices for season tickets and pay a coach an elite program salary then we should be getting better then average or slightly above average results.

    Secret Scrimmage: ISU at Nebraska

Since teams can only have 1 exhibition game now (open to the public) they have gone to these "secret" scrimmages (not open to the public) and therefore it allows them to have 2 exhibition games now. Iowa has done this for a couple of years with Creighton and some directional school in Illinois.

    Who wins Baylor vs. Iowa

Split is talking about how everyone thought Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Texas and Georgia Tech all had too much speed for Iowa to handle as well and be competitive against those teams. And he has a point because every single one of those teams is better then this years Baylor team. Now this...

With adding WV and TCU and losing Mizzou and A&M...

What happens in bowl games doesn't mean crap. Look at Utah, they waxed Bama one year but yet once they started playing the "big boys" week after week they are getting it taken to them. It is easy for these schools to be competitive in a bowl game when you have a month of prep time.

With adding WV and TCU and losing Mizzou and A&M...

What would A&M and Missouri have done in the MWC and Big East the last 10 years? My guess is they would have had the same success as WV and TCU so I think it is a push replacing Missouri and A&M with these 2.

    Murph and Andy

You're first clue that this probably didn't happen is the fact that is has taken a year for this to come out and it comes out right after he breaks the career TD reception record. Yeah I'm sure it happened.

    No calling out players???

Um yeah, you didn't see the thread that got deleted then Jon started this thread did you? and then you run over here with this. There is a reason he started this thread and it wasn't because his feelings were hurt it was because that thread got way out of hand in a short time about James Morris.

Big 10 vs Big 12 recruits in wrestling

I don't think it is the BTN that is huge (although it doesn't hurt) as much as it is the Big Ten being the best wrestling conference and has been for some time. If you compare the SEC and Big 12 in football recruits you wouldn't find the difference in talent as much as this but the SEC would...

Iowa fans running their mouths after beating the lowly Northwestern Wildcats....

You're right, UConn and UNI are much better then Iowa. Also it is the only game Jantz has completed more than 50% of his passes so that tells me he may not have played out of his mind but it is his best game so far.
