    C-Dub: Drop Iowa?

Iowa could drop the game, but right now there's nothing that says the Big 10 is going to a nine game schedule. It would make more sense for them to have a rotation like the Big 12 had as opposed to a nine game schedule.

    C-Dub: Drop Iowa?

It would only make sense that the new Big 12 go to nine conference games, as that would provide for a true round robin. Nobody really knows how Big 10 schedules are going to change next year,

    Iowa vs. Nebraska

If Texas had left, the Big 12 would have fallen apart. That decision would have had nothing to do with Nebraska asking to leave the conference. I wonder if people here hold the same opinion towards Colorado, since they jumped ship before Nebraska.

    Iowa vs. Nebraska

How did Nebraska "almost **** over" ISU?

KF does love his Trident, that's for sure.

    Koman Coulibaly

I said it was offsides because that's what was on the screen during the game. Obviously, ESPN (and thus I) had it wrong. Fouls are always judgement calls, and in this case, homeboy made the wrong call.

They said that Edu (sp?) was offside, when he clearly was not.

You can't have replay on judgement calls. He made a bad call...it's not going to be changed.

Do you think the same could be said in Iowa?

What battle? There was never any battle, as ISU (the school) was never in a position where it was going to shut down, or lose a great deal of money, or have a severe decline in enrollment. Mason's vote for Nebraska was not a vote against Iowa State. What is so hard about that to understand?

Do you think the same could be said in Iowa?

    You left out basketball.

Do you think the same could be said in Iowa?

In that case, what's the point of having University president in the first place? In your scenario, the BOR would have been voting for Nebraska, and you would be just as upset. The only time the BOR should have stepped in (or would have been obliged to do so) would have been if ISU got left...

    Hawkeyenation

No you don't. It's cute that you think you do, but....you don't. What you do provide is some high comedy.

Does it matter if that's true?

After some of the things you've said over there, I'm surprised you haven't been banned.

    So why does everyone think

Does this mean that Nebraska fans consider ISU to be a rival now? It's going to be a good series, regardless of venue. Besides, who else would they have? You can say Ohio State, but they're not going to end up in that division. Same for Michigan.

    So why does everyone think

It's not Northwestern's spread that gives Iowa trouble, it's that NW is willing to do what most teams aren't, and take what Iowa gives them. They go after Iowa where the Hawks are typically the most vulnerable, between the line and the linebackers. That doesn't mean that other teams dont' do...

"ISU is the only loser in the new Big 12"

You don't think this will all change when the contracts for the SEC and Big 10 come up for renewal? Lets just assume that the numbers that have been thrown out there are correct, and that everyone in the Big12-2 (outside of Texas) is going to get at least 17 million a year from the new deal...

Now Iowa fans laugh because we have to win the conference outright......

Iowa has no control over their conference schedule. They miss two teams every year; last year it was Illinois and Purdue, and it'll be that way again this year.
