I don't see how we pull Heskett out of Ohio State to become an assistant at ISU when: a) he is from Ohio b) OSU has placed higher than ISU at Nat'ls the past 2 seasons c) I doubt we could best any current deal he currently has. Not enough to make it worthwhile anyway. and 4) he is working... -

bummer, david taylor granted his release....
Did anyone really expect that to play out any differently? Taylor wanted to attend ISU because of Cael. They did the right thing in releasing him....were talking about an ~18 yr. old kid here. -

Defection thread.
He won the Dave Schultz Excellence Award, but he wasn't actually quoted as saying he was attending ISU. The article said he would be attending ISU this fall but that was based on pre-Cael leaving information and was not actually re-affirmed by Taylor in the interview. -

Mow height
its a good idea to mow your grass higher at the beginning of the year to let the root system re-establish itself. Generally the root system will grow as deep as the grass is tall. So leaving it a little longer in the Spring will help your lawn for the rest of the season. I'd say no less than... -

Recruiting is my biggest concern with Jackson as well. However, he was the #1 choice for most guys on the team, which shows how much they believe in his abilities to lead the team. You would think this confidence would go a long way with potential recruits, and if existing team members talked...
