    Nebraska to the Big Ten??

Re: Nebraska to the Big Ten It's a little easier to do such a thing when another major conference has mutual interest. Colorado is a desirable school for the PAC-10. ISU is not. Pollard will do everything he can. The problem is that he can't do much.

    Nebraska to the Big Ten??

Re: Nebraska to the Big Ten Well consider Fox owns a decent chunk of the Big 10 Network and it's "flagship" of DirecTV, I think it's safe to say that rumor is NOT true.

Bad Bad Bad News... 6 Big 12 Teams Potentially to Pac Ten

On the Big 10's list of criteria for finding more members I doubt many of those even make the list. Staff connections to Wisconsin? History with Minnesota? "National audience" rivalry? Really? We don't put any money in their pocket. They aren't going to be asking us to join.

Bad Bad Bad News... 6 Big 12 Teams Potentially to Pac Ten

The sooner you guys realize the Big 10 wants no part of ISU, and ISU doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of joining the Big 10, the better. And to whomever thought Iowa, Minny and Illinois would accept an invite to jump from the Big 12 to the Big 10 I already have their answer: LOLz I...

    ISU Starting lineup next fall

Gallick is done. Reader as a finalist is pretty bold. He hasn't earned that kind of praise. That's not all his fault though. My Iowa connection is incredibly dialed in and he says McD will be at 125 for at least one more year. Both teams are no where near settled on a lineup so it's...

Randy Peterson: ISU @ Iowa - 2:30 kick

I think that's a matter of opinion and probably an exaggerated one. At the very least, no doubt they have more fans and thus do have more a-holes. I have to tell you, I experience enough "cringe" moments among our fan base than I would like.

Randy Peterson: ISU @ Iowa - 2:30 kick

This. And my Iowa friends feel the same way about Ames. Both sides can be real a-holes when it comes to this game. The problem for us is there is more of them than there are of us!

    Boaz Beard

Gadsen is a great prospect with potential but to claim he's going to step in at upper/tough weights like 184 or 197 as a true frosh and "tear everyone up" is beyond bold. D-1 wrestling is a huge step up from high school and he has a ton of work to do. Gadsen would not even AA if he wrestled...

    Eric Thompson ?

I don't think 197 is a big cut for him. He's wrestled there before. I'm not necessarily a huge Ward fan but he's a cut above Simonson.

    Wrestling Future

If "markets" determined the athletic programs sponsored by schools, there would be no collegiate sports outside of football and basketball and even those sports would only be sponsored at select schools. The wrestling landscape may look a lot different in 10 years, but it won't be dead. It...

    Eric Thompson ?

I disagree, even without ET. We have Simonson as a quality "swing" HWT and the big JC kid coming in. I don't think that's thin at all.

    Boaz Beard

The problem is that Ward won't effectively see 184 again. If he has to cut to 184 he won't have any lungs. Simonson can't make the cut, either. Unless something changes we will have to go with Schaefer at 184. Don't kid yourself--this hurts. Gadsen has a great future but he's no where near...

    Wrestling Future

Neither BYU nor Utah has a wrestling program. If the Big 12 disbands, ISU will join a different wrestling conference. It could also lead to the NCAA changing the qualification format to be more like what we have in our high schools. Who knows. Either way, we'll still have a good program.

Is transferring. No idea why or to where. That stings a bit.

    Eric Thompson ?

Eric should be back at ISU for summer classes. There have been talk of him transferring into UNI instead but I don't see it happening.

    FOR SALE: Field Of Dreams

The one group sold out to the other soon after Costner's appearance. People still go there--I was there on a random Thursday morning last August and there must have been 30-40 people on site. I was very surprised!

How much communication do you think there has been...

I don't know how much conversation there has been, but I'm guessing they have been pretty short.

Big 10 expansion - it has begun.

Not only is that only a theory, but even if "similar revenue" were true, it would be split up like 20 ways instead of the 11 ways it's split in the Big 10.
