I wonder if the eastern schools regressed or if the metro schools just greatly surpassed them in talent/money. Iowa City has really grown over the last 30yrs, probably on par with DSM metro percentage-wise. Not sure what explains that switch and drop-off
Eastern Iowa was super dominant in the 90s/2000s. Iowa City especially in the 90s. I think maybe 90% of the titles that decade were either city or west. Growing up in eastern Iowa I’m not sure what caused the shift
Jets. Rough history, always seem to have really bad luck. They have die-hard fans who have a real attachment to the team, while the other team in their market is full of fair weather, over-cocky t-shirt fans
This is literally the same for every single school in the country and we’re still getting out-donated. That’s not just an ISU-specific thing so your point makes zero sense to me
I liked it, I'm the type to mix with some type of milk tho. It does have a citrus flavor so it doesn't completely just taste like "coffee" so it depends on how coffee you want your coffee to taste like
I’ve gotten the coffee shipped to me and also got some pretty cool shirts/sweatshirts from my monthly donation tier. Those things are nice but it’s tough to think of whatever else we could get outside of IA that would entice folks
We should be getting alumni groups involved from around the country. I live out of state and I feel like there's a lot of other loyal cyclone fans away from Iowa that may not know too much about this. Some type of competition drive among alumni groups would be cool
Curious, can you give me a name of a coach you’d rather have? A coach that a team that can outpay us wouldn’t want first? Please don’t dodge this question
Don’t want to turn this into an NIL argument but I’d wager that a good amount of those 191 folks are the same people that don’t donate and talk down on people who do
