    Isn't ISU asking for over 5 million for a new scoreboard? The department can't be very close to "self-sufficient" if they're asking for something like that. Are the football/basketball practice facilities and JTS improvements paid for yet? Did those require state funds?

    If ISU ever had a good chance to beat Iowa, it's this year. Iowa's replacing almost the entire defense and the game's in Ames. Iowa's offense should be quite potent, but the defense is very VERY young.

    I wore Hawkeye gear all the time at ISU. I never once had anyone say anything to me on campus and only had problems at the bars a couple times.

    I'm not sure I understand your rant... Iowa lines up a harder non-conference schedule than a lot of the nation's top teams.
