    To add to this, you would only get a tax benefit if you itemize your deductions, as opposed to taking the standard deduction. Also, as the poster above alluded to, you can only deduct interest, not the full amount of your payment.

    I think pre-nups are only effective for assets you bring to the table at the time you are married, not assets accumulated during the marriage. But this could vary by state.

    Pollard reports to Leath, who reports to the Board of Regents, who are appointed by the Governor, who is elected by Iowa voters. So really, it's Iowa voters who are responsible for the poor team and should accordingly be banished from the stadium. Forever.
