    It was happening for a while, but, as with remote work, Covid was a catalyst to widespread adoption. I worked on a web app for an Iowa bar in 2015 - idea was that since they had so many rotating taps, the app was always current, and could also help steer you towards what you liked.

    Nah, OPEC definitely disproportionately affects supply. But I was talking specifically about gas prices in Ames. Demand goes up, prices go up, and gas stations compete to find the price that brings maximum profit. Assuming the owners aren’t colluding, of course…

    Yes and no. Insurance companies (and lawyers) will absolutely put a value on a life based on age and expected earnings. You don’t want to be over-insured, but you also want to have enough to shield your other assets. Consult a trusted professional (with E&O).
