Lakes/Plains is probably the most realistic one I've heard of that wouldn't suck in my opinion.
Schembechler/Hayes would basically be Michigan/Ohio State and that too wouldn't suck, in my opinion.
My vote still goes for them to sell the naming rights and for the divisions to be named...
I'm not trying to defend TO in any way, shape, or form. But what did he do in Cinci to be a cancer?
I follow the NFL pretty closely, and I haven't heard that TO was a distraction to the Bengals until reading this. Just curious. Thanks in advance.
You are right that people should start to temper their expectations for the tourney but I disagree and think that if we went 10-6 in the BigXII this year we would be a "lock". 8-8 in the BigXII puts us on the bubble.
With that said, I'd be VERY surprised with anything better than 6-10...
kenpom.com also says on the bottom of each team page "Projected record is based on cumulative probabilities of winning each game and may not equal the individual game predictions."
I like what cyclones500 did on the ordering the most likely wins and separating them into 4 game sets. You were...
You could look at your league rules. There would be no penalty in my yahoo league, but the remaining members wouldn't be happy if anyone pulled a move like that.
You might be right that it is most likely to happen with Track, but I have heard of some recent publicized cases with Baseball/Football (Russell Wilson, NC States QB to name 1) and Basketball/Football (Charlie Ward for Florida State in the mid-90s)
8 out of 12 of our opponents are in the pre-season top 50 but 4 out of those 8 will be at home.
I am surprised that UCONN is ranked that much higher than Iowa. Many on this board will probably think that UCONN on the road will be *easier* than Iowa at the Jack.
I still expect a 4 or 5 win...

You're right, we really needed a new thread with the title "Friedgen out" to talk about this. It would have been out of place in the other two threads.
This site is actually pretty accurate to what the Top 25 will look like when it comes out next August.

Lots of talent in the DC area (not that there isn't in Texas) and it has to be easier to recruit to a beautiful campus like Maryland than to Lubbock, Texas.
Kevin Plank, the Under Armour CEO, is reportedly good friends with Mike Leach. If you recall, UA became the uniform provider for TT while Leach was there. Supposedly, Mr. Plank is using his $ and role with the University of Maryland in similar fashion to Phil Knight (Nike CEO and Oregon...
Bill Self will likely go the Auburn route and argue that "person associated with a prospect" doesn't specifically state "parent" so Kansas is safe.
Also, Kansas gets great ratings in the NCAA MBB Tourney so that helps.
I'm not certain what the NCAA does exactly. They review cheating allegations but manage to suspend people like Izzo before a meaningless non-con game and postpone judgment on Cam Newton until after they rake in all the cash he will bring them by playing in the BCS title game. They also manage...
