I disagree McGee puts in a much better effort on the defensive end then Korie Luscious. Korie may be the worst on ball defender I have ever seen.

Most Inconsistent Player in ISU History?

Heard has been a big disappointment in my mind. My biggest frustration with him is he turns the ball over WAY to much and doesn't seem to put much effort into playing defense or rebounding.

There is no chance Jantz plays in the NFL ever. Aren't you a Chiefs fan? Have you ever seen a good NFL QB?

    Chris-Question about Woody

I had this thought as well about half way through the year last year, since they were not playing him at the RB position. The kid is to strong and physical to be standing on the sideline. Unfortunately, going into his senior season, it may be a little to late to experiment with a position...

Minnesota vs. Texas Tech (Meineke Car Care Bowl)

Seriously though, this can't be the same defense we played??? Please tell me they've lost about 4 starters to injury or grades??? I refuse to believe this is the same defense.

    Starting QB

Collin Klein was recruited as an athlete as well, and was playing wide receiver before Snyder moved him to QB. So, if you have a point here it is irrelevant. Not sure were the love for Jantz is coming from on this board. He has played 2 good games in his career at ISU, and has been basically...

    A True Playmaking QB???

So, we are downgrading a QB who has won four Big 12 games against top 25 teams to a back up reciever/holder??? Are you kidding me??? Barnett is a QB, and a winner, I am not giving up on him as a sophomore. I don't think he has been give a fair shot, he started 3 games this year against REALLY...

I really hope coach PR will make some changes.

The problem with this offense, is you need an elite NFL type QB to make it work. You can't hide your QB with this system. I think next year, if we don't have one of those guys. I say we committ to Jared Barnett, and committ to the run. I'd like us to look at what Kansas State is doing with...

    Steele observations

I'm not sure what Baylor was doing on defense, they were playing WAY off our receiver's and didn't bring any rush. Expect Oklahoma to do the exact opposite, they will bring pressure and play tight man to man defense on our receivers. That has been Stoops blueprint against us every year...

    STATS DON'T LIE

Barnett has played 131 snaps in 2012: average rushing yard per snap=129/131= .985 rushing yards per snap average passing yard per snap=586/131= 4.47 passing yards per snap Barnett int per pass=4/105=3.8% interceptions per pass Jantz has 194 snaps in 2012= average rushing yard per snap=95/194=...

    Woody

I agree 100% with this, one more thing I would add is a big guy like Woody benefits from more carries to wear down the defenders, you can't just put him in for one play and say he is ineffective and move on to the next back.

    Woody

I think White is by far our best all around back, big lose with him out today. Shontrelle is not good at running between th tackles. I would of liked to see Woody more on first and 2nd down to get those tough yards. I think you can also use him as lead blocker for Barnett with a team that is...

    Woody

Found out White was out and was hoping to see him on the field a bunch. If he is still hurt why is he playing in certain situations? Shontrelle was not effective at all. Just don't understand why he isn't seeing more carries. Any ideas?

JB is NOT the better QB, but....

Dumbest thread I have ever seen, no question who is better. Some people apparently want to continue to lose big 12 games.

    ***Official Bench Steele Jantz thread***

Guy has 24 turnovers in 10.5 games..Really bad!! I think the best stat to compare the two QB's would be 3 and out percentage. I think that is where you would see the biggest comparison between the two. I believe Barnett would have a decided advantage.
  17. B

    Barnett

Why would you not stack the box?? I'm sure teams have watched tape of Jantz throwing the ball directly to the other team over, and over, and over again. Why would you not beg this team to pass the ball??? Jantz will throw it right to you eventually. Look, I just don't want to lose four Big 12...

    Barnett over Jantz

Jantz is probably the worst starting QB we've had since Bob Utter was under center in the Walden wishbone days.

Jantz can throw the ball harder then Barnett, that is about it IMO...

Your right, we should keep playing the guy who routinely throws the ball directly to the other team. Sounds like a plan!!
