    The Blitz

    Why would anyone do anything but blitz the hell out of us every game. We have proven again, and again, and again, and again, and again we have no idea how to game plan against a blitz.

    The talent gap is scary...

    We have talent at skill positions on offensive side of ball, but no QB or offensive coordinator to utilize that talent. The real problem is, we seem to missing two of the best linebackers to ever play at Iowa State. Those guys made our otherwise mediocre defense look pretty damn good at times.

    I think we are going to see huge improvement in our defensive line next year. Rodney Coe has been impressive the last 2-3 games, and remember this is his first year at the D-1 level.     JUCO QB #1 Priority

    I think Rhoads said on his call is show they have a JC QB they are targeting for this years recruiting class. A guy that would fit perfect into what they are trying to do on offense, I believe was his quote. I'm not exactly sure what they are trying to do, so it would be nice to find out.

    I agree, I have 3 games saved on my DVR that I may never erase and JB was the QB for all of those games. IMO, the most important thing for a QB at any level is what's inside his head.     White and Woody never see the field anymore, this entire offense staff is incompetent. Everyone on the offensive side of ball needs to be fired.

    I recently watched the Okie St. game lots of guys still on our team that made big plays in that game, they all seem to be after thoughts these days. Very frustrating to me.

    I see Charlie Rogers as a linebacker as well. I think he has the frame to put on weight. It doesn't seem like staff likes him at cornerback anymore. I think he is similar in size to Jared Brackins or could be in an off season.

    I think he will play a bunch in our nickel package. I am sure we didnt use the nickel package at all against Iowa you will see it more against the spread offenses. I would love to see the staff groom him as a linebacker for next year. He has the body to put on weight.

    I would say Chizik brought in some pretty good talent, based on espn.com, ISU has 13 players affiliated with NFL rosters right now, and I believe 9 of them were recruited by Chizik. NFL Players by College - I - National Football League - ESPN That is not saying CPR's guys won't make teams...

    I have high hopes for Sam Richardson, but I think we should temper expectations for him next year, at least until he's played a top tier Big 12 defensed. I think Kansas and W. Virginia were 8th and 9th in the league in defense.

    Just an observation on the last 2 years and potential NFL players for ISU. I believe Jake Knott was the only player recruited by CPR, I believe all the other players were recruited by Chiz, or originally committed to Chizik. The jury is still out IMO on the talent he has brought into the...

    Not sure we have any idea if Lenz was a good college WR, we had some of the worst QB play in Division I football in his 4 years here. I think if you put him with a good NFL QB he looks much, much better. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the team, especially with the Bears.

    IMO the entire team plays atrocious defense accept for Babb. McGee doesn't play great defense but he plays with great effort, I can't say that about most of the rest if the team.
