Congrats to you! You did get incredibly lucky. I wanna say that the career services people told us that ON AVERAGE, a person would need to apply for 100 jobs to get an offer. They of course had research and statistics to back this up. A lot of people get lucky, but for others, don't think...
I was just reading about him on wikipedia. Was anyone aware (or did they mention it in the documentary) that he went to Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College? apparently after graduating, he was not selected to join the circus.
i can't believe that out of all the dorky shows mentioned (90210? come on :jimlad:) that no one has mentioned CSI. Obviously it's not realistic, but I still like it. My list in no particular order...
CSI (any of them really)
How I Met Your Mother
Big Bang Theory
Office
30 Rock
Project Runway...
I have the Canon SX10. It's 10 megapixels, I think and takes video as well. The cool thing, is you can actually zoom during the videos. There's also the Canon SX1 which I think takes video in HD as well as pictures.
or you could just get your prints from clarkcolor.com. They are always 8 cents from them. no deal or coupon needed. They are also owned by Kodak so it's still good quality.
We called the Ankeny police once when (what turned out to be) high schoolers were pounding on our back door in the middle of the night. They came right out and drove around the neighborhood with their spotlights. Not only did they drive around, but they got out of their cars and looked around...
Ankeny has an ewaste recycling day coming up on April 4. You can take it to the City Maintenance Facility (211 SE Lorenz Dr). A tv that size will cost you $22.

I am also not a fan of the roadside graves. I've always thought this is also an attention thing. Why would you want to be reminded of a location?
EDIT: not a roadside grave, but a roadside memorial...
Him: cooking, yardwork, snow removal, cleaning any bathroom he touches
Me: cleanup after meals, dishes, laundry, vacuuming, kitty litter duty
We tend to share most of the other cleaning around the house.
I think it works out pretty well.
I think it's interesting that he wants a good business school. He said his favorite subject in school was history. I guess I assumed he would go that route. Probably smarter to go the business route though.
not too long ago, I purchased a 1.5 quart crock pot from the kitchen store at the Story City outlet mall. It was $8, I think and it does have a temperature contral (warm, low and high). Works really well too!
