    I think the reason folks are chiming in on Saban's comment is that it was so clearly self serving. He want's college football to change the rules to match his style. He crossed the line. Kudos to Holgs for his comments.

    Yes, we were known for it. Not many teams ran it and so teams weren't used to seeing it...several years we had VERY good defenses with it. We quit running it when our DC Jeff Casteel ran off to Arizona with Rich Rodriguez. He (Casteel) was the one who really liked it.

    Last year we had , ahem, dual DCs. This year we've given the duties to just one of them...so we kept one and changed the responsibilities of the other. Yes, I believe we are still going with the three man front. Why do you ask...don't like the 3-4?
