FS: 100 Years of Hoops frame

Another Christmas gift idea. This was created in 2008 by the athletics department for the Men's Hoops 100 year celebration. Personally signed by Coach Orr. Pretty cool timeline of players, coaches, memories over the years. I have had it framed with a background border. Frame dimensions are...

FS: 100 Years of Hoops banner

Another Christmas gift idea. I don't have space for this any longer. This was created and used by the athletic department in 2008 to celebrate the 100 Years of Men's Hoops. Roughly 60" wide/42" tall. Has a small nail hole in each corner but otherwise good condition, pretty heavy-duty...

FS: 100 Years of Hoops Coke Bottles

Anyone looking for a fun Christmas gift? I have 1 six-pack I am willing to part with. These were produced in 2008 to celebrate 100 years of men's basketball. See article: 100 Years I am looking for $20. Live in Des Moines. Thanks! Note: I tried posting photos but it says the file is too...

Kick Off Following ISU's 14 point Score at OSU

I didn't actually see Dunn's kick, but sounds like it was a low squib-type that was tough to handle for an up-man? Those videos of Dickson doing it, what is the purpose or benefit of a drop-kick versus regular kick-off when he is kicking it all the way to the goalline?

Fertilizing my lawn for initial spring application

I aerated/overseeded on Oct 2. I have an extra bag of Earl May Lawn Food (28-0-4), however, I was told by someone that high Nitrogren can burn the grass seeds? If I wait another couple weeks to make sure any seeds have germinated and established, can I still apply this before winter? Or...

    Installing Christmas lights

Thanks for the suggestions. The tree is in the right-of-way area, so connecting to the neighbor's house wouldn't solve the issue of dealing with the sidewalk. I've never heard of solar Christmas lights, but I could look into battery powered. Masonry blade on the sidewalk crack isn't a bad...

    Installing Christmas lights

I'm trying to avoid that. Don't have expansion cracks big enough to fit a cord. I don't want the cord laying across the sidewalk as a trip hazard or when shoveling/snowblowing begins.

    Installing Christmas lights

That's a good point, hadn't thought about that. I live in city of DSM. I've just been worried about calling 811 to mark the utility lines.

    Installing Christmas lights

For a few years now I have put up Christmas lights on our front yard tree, along with the house. Now I want to try to put them up on our other front tree, which is on the other side of the house and across the sidewalk. Does anyone have experience running a power cord under the sidewalk so I...

Newcomers updated height, weight, and numbers

I'd argue he's not leaning back (tough camera angle), at least nowhere near Jacobson. Why are the coaches having him shoot 18-footers? 3's and layups....

    Smoking Meat Questions and Discussion

I have a Green Mountain Daniel Boone pellet smoker. You think the moisture pan is needed? All the recipes I've ever followed haven't mentioned it, so curious how much difference it makes.

What internal temp are you looking to hit for ribs? Also, do you use a pan of water for everything you smoke?

    I lost my job

For those who have applied or hired using LinkedIn.....I've noticed many of the job postings that get sent to me don't list a salary. How can I find out the potential salary of a job at another company? (assuming it's a similar position as the one I currently have)

    New Fishing Pole Advice

Anyone have recommendations on a place around DSM I can take some old reels to get tuned up? I was thinking Johnston bait & tackle, not sure if they do that stuff? Does Scheels or Bass Pro do maintenance stuff?

    Central IA firewood

Anyone have a good supplier you get firewood from around Des Moines? I'm not looking for a full cord, just enough to have some bonfires the rest of this summer/fall. I've bought some bundles from HyVee lately--the wood is awful. Doesn't burn well at all, it is packaged as Warren County. Thanks!

    New Fishing Pole Advice

I'm pretty much exact same situation as you. Trying to get back into it after years of nothing. What are the recommended types of line for a spin cast vs bait cast? Do I have to use a steel leader if fishing for walleye or pike?
