Great report. Thanks. Do you really see Marsden playing a lot in this game? He may be the only body we have that can handle their big guy but I don't see him getting many minutes, especially as the quality of play takes a big jump from what we have been seeing.
The story is that he was recruiting like crazy between Cinncy and KSU. Completely legal since he wasn't on contract with either school. There are some interesting guys in the league...Knight, Huggins, Barnes, just to name a few.
College athletics, football in particular, is a BUSINESS. There are bills to be paid. Mac will do just fine with the money he has in the bank. He will live to coach another day. I think ISU made the correct BUSINESS decision.
We seem to have a plan on both ends of the floor. Not sure I ever saw that in Wayne's World. We probably need to have a lot of games in the 50's in order to have much of a chance to win.
As a jockey, probably not too good. As an offensive lineman, a definite possibility. As a potential wife for my son, again, probably not too good. What are you getting at?
11 turnovers against today's competition is totally unacceptable. However, he appears VERY quick and can get himself in good scoring areas with ease. I think his vision is excellent but maybe he is more concerned about making an all-american play instead of a simple ISU play. It will be...
You can look all you want but you will ONLY see Ryan Baum in the light that he is currently showing. I remember watching him in high school and he was a mouth back then, too. Go ahead and don't show up for any more Clone games, we can find somone else to take your place.
Looking forward to watching the Clones in action again on Sunday. I think the week of practice after 3 games gave the coaches a chance to really focus on some of the weaknesses of team. I look for lock-down defense tomorrow and smoother offense, especially in transition. What about the rest...
Super...we'll just keep recruiting big guys from Minnesota (sound familiar) to keep the long athletes from KU off the glass. Jude! Give me a 6'6", long armed, athlete over your 6'6", stubby armed, body builder any day of the week.
I could see us being an NCAA tourney team next year. A year of experience for everybody, a year of great coaching, replacing JG with AT, and a good recruiting class = lots of wins for the Clones. It will be interesting to vote on this after the season. Who is most likely to be voted...
Re: Early NCCA observations
Keep an eye on Loyola of Chicago. A good buddy of mine is the head coach there and he is an Iowa guy. They have a great go-to guy in Blake Schilb. They are picked to win the Horizon and have already played tOSU to a somewhat close game at Columbus.
Thompson is good but where are you going to put him. Hornacek would be the only guy I would move but its hard to say he wont do what you want at shooting guard. Their arent many guys in the history of the NBA that shot it better him.
I think Grayer and Hornacek would chew up Hoiberg and Willoughby. Grayer gives you a better 3. He could drive it and was an unbelievable athlete prior to injury.
Choose the 5 former Clones, by position, that you would put on the floor if you HAD to win the game.
PG - Tinsley
SG - Hornacek
SF - Grayer
PF - Fizer
C - Cato
