    Where do you rate Wesley Johnson against other ISU true freshmen? Stinson and Haluska would be considered in the same category but WJ's OVERALL game might put him in the lead. Am I missing anybody?

    Back in the day, our jerseys had sewn-on numbers and team names. That meant that the inside surface of the jersey was uneven. Bad deal. A couple of guys used to wear Band-Aids because our coach said no to t-shirts.

    What are your keys tomorrow's game?

    Freethrows and turnovers. We MUST attempt more than Iowa and we can't give them easy baskets because of stupid turnovers. They will struggle to score IF we can keep it to a half-court game. However, our transition defense has not been good so that might be a struggle.

    A lot of guys who wear shirts under their jerseys do it for a simple reason nobody has mentioned...nipple rub. It ain't fun and the t-shirt really helps.

    I disagree that help defense is only used after someone gets beat. As an example, when the ball is at the wing and their is somebody helping in case of a lob, that positioning on the floor helps take away a part of their offense. In the case of overplaying, your point is well taken. However...

    I think that Cory struggles on the defensive end and as bad as the defense was today, it didn't make much sense to add him to the mix. If 4 guys are playing good d, Cory's inability to be a stopper might not be so bad. But when the entire team is poopy, it doesn't make much sense to put him...

    Listened to the post-game radio show...Coach McDermott said that Jiri did not start because he was late for the morning shoot around. He also said that it was kind of the way the entire day went for him. "Guys need to learn that are accountable...their minutes on the court will reflect that."
