Where did you live while at Iowa State?
TRA...the lovely Towers! Wilson Hall, Webber...9th floor. Spent 91-92 and 92-93 up there...cold as hell during the winters...but some incredible room parties. It was a never ending battle between our floor and 6th as to which floor was the rowdiest/most fined floor in Towers. 6th beat us but...- Racer68

A true shear bolt has 2 grooves cut into it...one on each end so that when the unit encounters a sudden jam, the bolt will shear at the 2 grooves..saving the unit from further problems. And yes, depending on the snowblower manufacturer, some shear bolts ARE specific to their uits and will not... -

Tebow stays at Florida
I know we all hear too much about him and it gets old...but we need to give credit where credit is due! An athlete that opts away from the NFL money to play his senior season in the NCAA...I like it. Only replace a shear pin with another shear pin...under NO circumstance should you ever put a nut and bolt in place of a shear pin. Shear pins are designed to protect the gearbox and engine...with a nut and bolt you run the risk of breaking the engine crankshaft or having the gearbox lock up... -

How does gas pricing work?
As far as diesel goes, that has everything to do with our lawmakers in D.C. They required that diesel be ultra low sulfur a couple of years ago...and the only way to refine ultra low sulfur diesel is to refine it from light sweet crude...the same crude used to make gasoline. Until a few years... -

We have a Samsung 40" LCD 1080P and absolutely love it. My 2nd choice would be a Sharp Aquos...have heard great things about them as well. As for Sony...they are basically the same as Samsung as they have Samsung internals. And Vizio...I stay in a few hotels that have them in the rooms (27")... -

I agree on the "small town Hawk fans." In our town during football season, what we see is if they win, they are all out at the bar with black and gold on head to toe talking smack...but if they lose, a lot of those same patrons stay home, and the ones who still go to the bar wear not one piece...- Racer68

It's great to see Fred Hoiberg's name on here so much. I was in English 105 with him our freshman year and got to know him on a personal level...GREAT guy with an incredible personlity...and so down to earth and approachable.
