    CR game watch

So what's the consensus on a bar? I've got 3+ looking for somewhere to call home.

    Moving to Des Moines/Ankeny

Too bad you're moving... sounds like we're neighbors. Do you have a website for your house? I have a friend who is looking, but "3 bed/2 bath ranch" describes about 90% of the houses down here :)

    CR game watch

I'm guessing the game isn't going to be on Mediacom since Comcast Sports is showing the Blackhawks game rather than picking up the FSN feed. If that holds, I'll probably be headed for a bar.

The awesome Georgia Tech catch vs. UNC

With GT's run/pass ratio what it is, the receivers have to capitalize on the rare occassions a ball actually comes there way. Nice play.

Wish I could be there... friend getting married deep in Hawkeye countryj :realmad: Either way, my tickets are already spoken for by Cyclone fans. Hope we can top 52k+ again!

IF rumors are true bad news from Iowa football

Heard on the CR news tonight that he was awake and breathing on his own... great news if true!

    More Steele Jantz

    We're 5/5 on 4th downs and 1/3 in FG's. Who needs a kicker?

    sound off

Since moving back to enemy territory 2 years ago I've been really missing out on the show. So glad to see they're streaming now (and probably have been this whole time for all I know). Thanks for the link!

    Dear Horn Guy

Another vote of support from section 19. We couldn't figure out what the hell was going on when everyone started booing, but were glad to see the horn make its triumphant return later in the game

Voices from the Stands - UNI ed.

Walked behind a group of drunk UNI kids talking **** to a group of drunk ISU guys after the game. Neither side was saying much of anything profound, but I thought it was funny that the ringleader of the UNI group was wearing a plain purple shirt and a Lakers hat.

    Iheartradio

KXNO's streaming player doesn't indicate when they are shutdown for internet blackout (Cardinal games during the summer being the normal time it happens). I'd guess that's what's going on now.

Bug experts - what is this?

Reason #436 why I have no desire to visit Thailand. Oddly enough, most of those reasons involve either wildlife or cuisine. Sometimes a combination of both:nah:

    Auto Glass Tint Installers

I have 15% on the rear three and 50% on the fronts of my Eclipse. I've gotten pulled over once (by a Trooper leaving Ames... I'm noticing a pattern) for tint only, and got off with a warning. Got another warning with a warning for speed a couple years ago. Outside of that, nothing else in the 8...

Trees down all over NE Cedar Rapids

Quiet night on the SW side. A lot of lightening and some rain for a little while, but no severe weather down here by Kirkwood.

    Harlem Globetrotters

My dad and some of his friends took a bunch of us kids to a Globetrotters game in CR when I was younger. Our seats ended up being in the first row, and at one point in the game one of the players came over, sat on my dad's lap, and then started eating his popcorn. Obviously a fun memory that has...

    Game coverage

Are you sure? There might be a 3 year old replay of a Chicago high school track meet that they would rather broadcast :jimlad: No, I'm not bitter about the game not being on CSN last weekend...

No son of mine plays Oregon Trail like that

Virtual Apple 2 - Online disk archive -- Oregon Trail I won't vouch for the validity of the install you have to do, but I'm definitely playing me some Oregon Trail

Red Light Speed Cameras coming to Des Moines

That's how it is on 380 through downtown Cedar Rapids. Everyone slows down to 55 as they approach the cameras, then back up to 65-70 a few hundred yards later. It seemed to take people a few weeks to catch on, but now it's just a mass of cars slowing down/speeding up in unison.
