    List of Chrysler Dealers Axed

Yep, and for the third time I'll say that they are cutting dealers not to remove a line on their balance sheet, but to improve public perception of their dealers/themselves and improve used car value. Will this let them raise the MSRP of a new car? No. It just means you're going to see less...

    List of Chrysler Dealers Axed

I'm pretty sure he's saying that he's more likely to believe a published article than someone on a message board. He isn't doubting your brother, he's doubting you  As I said in my post earlier, there isn't an immediate "we're going to save 100k per dealership this year" savings. It's...

    List of Chrysler Dealers Axed

My guess is that the majority of their gains from closing dealerships are in perceived quality of the brand due to a few points. First, this gives them the opportunity to close franchises that get poor marks on customer feedback. The dealership is the public face of a manufacturer. If a...

    LOST: The Incident

In the episode where Kate tries to go see her mom in the hospital and ends up getting her friend shot she is in a big city in Iowa. I don't know that they specifically mention Des Moines, but it makes sense. They go dig up the time capsule they'd burried as kids, ostensibly outside of Ames, so...

    LOST: The Incident

Just take solace in the fact that all of the backwater areas they find to shoot scenes of Iowa are in fact in Hawaii. At least they aren't showing palm trees... They at least made Des Moines look like a proper city.

That sounds pretty familiar :biglaugh: That conversation also makes me laugh at how convoluted this show has been. I love it.

    LOST: The Incident

Walt was tossed around as the cause of the polar bear sightings prior to the revelations of the cages at the Hydra. Him reading the comic book with a polar bear on the cover along with the idea of him being special had been pushing that theory. As for the second part, I think it was Jorge...

    List of Chrysler Dealers Axed

I admittedly don't know the particular situation of these dealers in Ames, but I would bet more heavily on Cadillac being given to the Buick-GMC dealer. Those are GM's premium brands, and seems to be how they prefer to structure things.

    LOST: The Incident

Maybe the version we know was the one rewritten by Hurley... and the original version was the one that sucked. Ooh. I think I just exploded my brain.

    LOST: The Incident

My fiance has missed most of this season but tried to watch the finale with me. She kept asking me questions about what was going on. I had to ask her to leave the room.

    LOST: The Incident

I want to know why Walt is special. The Others wanted him for a reason. On a similary note, the theory was that he was making the wtf moments happen (read the comic book with the polar bear on the cover and polar bear shows up). My new theory is that Hurley survives, gets off the island...

The automakers were given loans to try to keep them from having to declare bankruptcy. That failed.

    List of Chrysler Dealers Axed

Why? Oldsmobiles aren't worth any less because they aren't sold anymore. As long as there is a company there to sell replacement parts and honor warranty claims, there is no reason to expect resale values to fall that dramatically. Once the dust settles, Fiat-Chrysler will be there to back...

    List of Chrysler Dealers Axed

Really, the bailout "loans" were to allow them to keep operating, i.e. producing cars and backing warranties. Without them, they wouldn't have had the cash and all production would have stopped. That would have been a lot worse in terms of job losses than what we're seeing now. It was also to...

    LOST: The Incident

Here's something that occurred to me. While the "rules" of time travel are obviously manipulated for storytelling, there was something distinctly off about Locke sending Alpert to tend to Locke's shot up leg. With Anti-Jacob pretending to be Locke, this makes more sense. I'll be really...
