Oklahoma and it shouldn't even be a question. Coming in to the game Iowa State had beaten Oklahoma 5 times in the history of the series...5 times. This has the possibility of moving the program forward in recruiting, etc far more than the win over Okie State. -

Having Lima join Trent up front is having a huge impact. Those guys are cleaning up the interior of the OL, making it easier for JL to see the plays coming. JL has really turned the corner from week 1. -

Nowhere in my comment did I say it shouldn't have been a personal foul. The fact still remains that both happened on third down stops which "gifted" texas a new set of downs. Gifted as in a dumb penalty gave them life again...and in no way should that have been called targeting. -

If a few calls had gone Iowa State's way they would have beaten texas...see, that works for everyone. Texas was gifted both TD's because of personal foul penalties that negated three and outs. The longhorn defense was spectacular, but that offense was bad. Forty minutes of possession and only... -

One reason this is an effective way to play in the Midwest is because of the amount of big OL that come from Midwest states. The other reason, IMO, is because of weather that is cool to cold, add in gusting winds across a relatively flat landscape and it's a recipe for power football.
