    Allen Lazard- NFL Draft

Anquan Boldin ran a 4.71 and Fitz ran a 4.65 I believe, both had pretty good careers at WR. It's two guys, but if he has the size and strength to win at the LOS and the jump balls, he will have a job.

    Allen Lazard- NFL Draft

He had his issues outside of the endzone, RZ and when needing a clutch 3rd down conversion. In the pros he's a chain mover and a RZ guy and that's where he has excelled for four years.

    Allen Lazard- NFL Draft

He wasn't the only one that dropped passes from Allen. Read an article yesterday about Allens' accuracy and touch on short passes. They said he was putting way more into the short throws than he needed to and that WRs were getting caught off guard by the velocity to what it should be.

Joel Lanning practice report from East West Shrine Game

I saw the first two drives with Lanning on D. He got eaten up pretty good by the OL in the run game (with a little holding mixed in).

INSIDER: Some thoughts on Iowa State's QB recruiting/situation

Please, I'd say the majority if not the major majority of people on here, when they were 19/20, would have thoughts go through their mind about their future playing time if the 5th yr Sr QB was trying to get a 6th year, the staff talked very highly about the guy behind you, and they were...

INSIDER: Some thoughts on Iowa State's QB recruiting/situation

I agree. I wasn't saying he would just give up. I meant that he already said himself he questioned if he was going to get his chance when they named Kempt the starter for the OU game. It has to run through a kids mind if the guy gets another year and the staff raves about the kid behind you...

INSIDER: Some thoughts on Iowa State's QB recruiting/situation

If I'm Zeb, I'm wondering what my future is at Iowa State with the possibility of Kempt coming back and all of the comments about Re-al.

RECRUITING: Iowa State offers another 2018 QB

Coaching staff said they were bringing him in to be the next Seneca Wallace so I would think they rate him pretty high at QB.

Players coming off of Redshirt Years

Looking forward to seeing all of them but Kene being back is great. Bowens III could be a big addition after Payne and Peavy graduate. Had the speed and athleticism to be a state champion hurdler in Michigan, that bodes well for him in our secondary.

Paul Haynes? Rumor started by football scoop that may or may not be true

This. Heacocks' name has already been floated around a couple times this off season elsewhere. If ISU puts on another defensive show like last year Heacock will get a lot of attention.

Matt Rhule interviewed with the Colts

They were competitive in some games, OU and WVU were two of them and they played ISU tough as well. The only reason they didn't do better later in the season was depth. Their defense and Oline had no one to fall back on when someone went down. If Ruhle stays at Baylor for a couple years he...

    Best football season ever?

It's tough to compare those years to todays football. The Bruce years had some great ISU teams and players, but completely different era of play. IMO the '76-78 teams were three of the best teams ISU has fielded. Those teams had players that to this day are still some of my favorite players...

    Ayeni to NW

I like Horton a lot, but I'm betting CMC goes with someone he has experience with or someone younger like Justin Hill at Tulsa. Hill has Texas ties being from Denton and having played at Rice, plus earned his Masters at Iowa State. He coaches in a wide open offense and had two RB's go for over...

    The infamous Liberty Bowl fumble

Favorite part was when he realized where he was and tried to tiptoe his way back to the line.

    The infamous Liberty Bowl fumble

I hate most targeting calls. Your WR bent down after not catching the ball while Peavy was already in position to make the tackle at the midsection. If your player doesn't duck down like that, the helmet to helmet never happens. How about the Memphis defensive player lined up offsides on the...

Early Signing: Who are you most excited about?

I have to say I'm most excited to see... Offense: The three OL guys. Each of them, it was said, have that hard nose, blue collar, mean streak that CMC and staff like to see. Defense: Isaiah Lee. This kid could be a disrupter. He's quick off the ball and has good rush moves. Can he put on...
