    ISU - '08 v'09

You'll have to read about it tomorrow. In short, Mizzou is top ten nationally in stopping the run and ISU will struggle to move the ball if required to pass. Much like KSU against the Tigers. On the flip side, Mizzou leads the conference in big pass plays (25+ yards) and I don't think ISU...

    ISU - '08 v'09

To put another way re my worrying about this game, last year I laughed out loud at the very thought that the Tigers would lose to the Cyclones. This year, I'm not laughing. Basically, I think the Tigers match up well against the Cyclones - these reasons will be hashed out later in the week and...

Rather dimwitted? Sometimes people worry. Sometimes people don't. There were no backhanded compliments, by the way. I am incapable of such.

Hey Cyclones, Over at Atomic Teeth I've penned a comparison of last year's Cyclones and this year's. As you might suspect, this year's is better.... I've dived into the numbers a bit if you're interested. Any of you coming to Columbia? Barking Carnival — Blog — How much better are these...

    Scenarios for winning the North

Ok, I was here the other day and shared our probability based model for the North. We've created a new one wherein the user just fills out the winner for each game and it'll give you North champ. The tie-breakers are built in. Barking Carnival — Blog — Predict-a-North for Dummies Run all...

Stanzi rated worst "winning QB," Arnaud rated 11th worst

The first time I watched Arnaud play was the Iowa game. I was pretty sure Arnaud was the worst QB in the country in the non-Cody Hawkins division. Then he showed me I was wrong in the KU game. He came on last year to be pretty decent so the Iowa game threw me for a loop.

    Chances of winning the North

I hear what you're saying, but that's irrelevant, right? You change the odds. You make them whatever you think they'll be. Now it's just one guy throwing crap at the wall.

    Chances of winning the North

KSU is not favored to win the North because KSU is not favored to win any of its remaining games. If you think that's wrong, you can adjust the lines as you see fit. They're an underdog at home this weekend to KU, so I think it's pretty accurate. If K State beats KU, the Cats have four...

    Chances of winning the North

Gents, I was here a lot last year. I'm sure I'll drop in plenty the week of the ISU/Mizzou game, but for now wanted to share the new gadget we've developed for guaging the odds of winning the North. Barking Carnival — Blog — Predict-a-North - 4 Games to Go It's Predict-a-North. As you...

    Dan Patrick

Isn't there something wrong with a league where Josh Freeman is thought to have a chance to succeed? He can't make a decision or throw a spiral consistently, yet nearly everyone thinks he can succeed in the NFL. That guy is terrible.

    Dan Patrick

I don't get how that makes Big 12 QBs overrated. For college quarterbacks, they are awesome and rated appropriately. Not making it in the NFL doesn't make them overrated. It makes them not suited for a different kind of game. Huepel had a weak arm. Bradford has a good arm. I see...

Chris Simms also warms the bench. Dan Patrick should read: Atomic Teeth » Blog Archive » The Conference of Quarterbacks….seriously? Anyway, the fact that there are currently not many Big 12 QBs in the NFL doesn't have anything to whether the current batch of QBs can play in the NFL.

QBs in the Big 12 - a retrospective

Hey Clones, I thought I'd tip you to something I wrote over at Atomic Teeth. Iowa State leads the league (well, tied) in drafted QBs so I thought you might be interested. Of course, it's kind of a tallest midget kind of thing...
