No one confirmed that they are the same beer. The gentlemen on the radio kept saying that, but I didn't hear anyone from Backpocket confirm it. Clone Fest is a fest bier and Hawktoberfest is a marzen. Those are not the same thing, even if they're in the same family of beers. -

The Angels have wasted Trout's best years. He can't stay healthy lately, so he's a shell of the player he used to be. They're going to do the same with Ohtani unless he moves on in free agency. The Angels are good at signing big stars but don't know how to build an actual roster.- MJ29

I think it depends if you like reds. I do, so I like that beer a lot, but there are a lot of people who do not like reds. -

From what I've heard (from people more knowledgeable about beer than I am), they are two different recipes. One is a marzen and one is a festbier. A lot of people think they're the same thing, and I'm guessing it was easier for the guys on air to just say they're the same thing than to describe...- MJ29

I forgot to add that the Grimes Hy-Vee said they fielded phone calls about Ames Lager all day yesterday. I can only imagine the other locations did as well. It's worth calling ahead before driving to the store. -

It's on an end cap. It took us a minute to find it too. The spirits cashier tried to sell us the vodka too, but we weren't in the market for it at the moment. We'll probably go back for it though because we're suckers.
