    We leave for the day at 6:30. We for sure have to go out and run the snowblower before 6 a.m. If that bothers my neighbors, then they can get over it. Not all of us get a two-hour delay, work from home, or don't work at all.

    Back in my newspaper days, I went on a ride along with the snow removal department one overnight for a story. It was very interesting and I definitely have appreciation for what they deal with and do.

    This snow is so heavy, I'm wondering how much of it will blow around with the winds coming later. Probably more than I think, but it just doesn't seem to move that easily.

    Electric Snow Blower

    Good news. My electric snowblower worked fine on a second try. Just have to do smaller slivers of snow and watch so the chute and blade area don't get clogged. Today was not the best day for its maiden voyage, but it definitely helped minimize the shoveling.
