    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I’m even a big ten guy and I know the conference would stab you in the back before the ink dried. No way you will convince them to give you equal anything even if it is justified

    Playoff Setup

You might be right however remember things are about ratings. People love new teams, new stadiums, crazy weather. It might not be the immediate detriment you think. I get where you are coming from though

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

If it was just football the damage wouldn’t be that bad, it would just be the richer schools getting richer. Programs would still close due to liability like I mentioned but it can be contained. The problem comes when the other sports outside of football are also employees and then navigating...

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Those are for sure gone without a wealthy donor to support. Basketball will probably see an overall teams reduction but mostly for smaller programs. Probably a good 40 D1 football programs shut down as well. Then you will get into the employment lawsuits, the title 9 lawsuits, the wrongful...

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I’m already on the record that full employee status will be the end of college athletics

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

You brought up the NFL comparison so that’s what I was referencing. There already is revenue sharing within conferences. There will be revenue sharing within playoffs as well.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Oh no it’s 100% to maintain competitive balance, that’s why there is a draft and the worst team gets to pick first and there is a salary cap. Again if you want to put that into place and go down to 32 teams I don’t think you’re gonna find much support here. NFL might be #1 but CFB is #2, more...

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

They do, the players all get 150K bonuses for winning the Super Bowl and 87K for losing. The owners get paid millions with the extra playoffs and also get the massive revenue distribution from ads and media dollars. They also only have 32 teams. You want cfb to go down to 32 teams?

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

It’s almost as if college football isn’t the NFL and never has been…

    Playoff Setup

You should read the rules, the 4 byes are for conference champs so they have to make the final

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

100%, unless something really rough happens in the Big12 with parity being so high. Could end up like cbb where everyone takes losses but that’s pretty unlikely

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

They aren’t an auto qualifier right now in the 5+7

    Playoff Setup

Even with that interpretation, I don’t think that’s gonna be a thing. The schools that make up that cohert are most years going to be the traditional powers, especially after realignment. I don’t like it but that’s kinda how it is. Just look at the top 12 from last year.

    Playoff Setup

This is a take, what small schools do you expect to be making the playoffs outside of the G5 rep that could get screwed over?
  15. F

    Playoff Setup

Exactly, the second best SEC and Big Ten teams would be out of the top 4 and would have a serious shot of winning most years.

Huh, that’s all extremely weird but I’ve never done rural medicine really. That just not the way that should work or be processed.

    General Sickness

Throw everything out the door when dealing with the elderly, they are an entirely different population set that you can’t base any actual medical trends on except for that specific age group. To make the point we are actually seeing the opposite issue with the insane popularity of water bottles...

    General Sickness

So here’s the thing with stories like this. Unless the NP was telling you with 100% sincerity that she puts every woman over 60 on calcium you have no way of knowing. If that is actually true that individual shouldn’t be practicing medicine and you shouldnt be going to them. I also really...

    General Sickness

There isn’t a single thing wrong with this statement but part of the reason we don’t talk about stuff like that is that the average American really struggles to make these kind of distinctions and you get into territory that “if everything can cause cancer” then it excuses extremely risky...

    General Sickness

It’s a slightly different age in both testing and communication now than it was then. We knew smoking caused cancer way back in the 40’s but alot of people just didn’t care plus there was the tobacco lobby. Not discounting your point, we are always making advancements in understanding and...
