It is not because they say so, it is because sports media promotes them that way and fans perceive them that way. Same thing works for Iowa rivalries, especially Nebby. The others are just based off geography and a conference that has been playing each other forever. -

As much as I despise ND and their brand. One thing I think they never get credit for in their scheduling is the fact that something like half of their games are considered rivalry games. At the very least it is an interesting dynamic to think about. -

My folks had a condo on Madeira Beach for 15+ years (Jan-March) we visited them every other year. Beaches are well maintained and there is a great selection of bars and eateries. Boomer crowd, lots of vacationing Canadians and Europeans to get drunk with. -

Not true, Aplington-Parkersburg had three over 1000 in 2008. HB had over 2000, FB with 1200, WB had 1100, QB with 700. First 3 were over in the regular season. I follow both schools pretty close. -

Field Sobriety tests including the preliminary breath test are not used to determine your BAC for a criminal charge, they are used as probable cause to arrest. The subject will still have an opportunity to give an official blood or breath sample. If you pass you will not be charged. -
