    T Tech to hire,..........yawn, snore

Maybe not nationally, but in Texas it is a pretty big deal. His impact on recruiting in TX will be noticed. Great hire for them IMO. He will turn things around out there. He is the reason Rhule and Aranda were able to keep landing great kids.

    John Deere strike imminent?

My mother worked the line in the 80's, chipping and grinding, instead of her regular payroll job.

Friday OT #1 - And The Sun Shines On the Bay

Probably a band most of you have not heard about, but I know there are some fans on here too. One of my favorite bands to see live. Ben never disappoints, even while spitting up blood from a vocal chord injury at Codfish.

    Dead/Unknown electrical switch

I recently installed a fan for my mother in law that had a remote control for the fan/light. The only way for it to work properly with the remote was to wire it to a single switch and leave the other switch dead. Not ideal but it's what the customer (boss lady) wanted.

    Pheasant Hunting

This thread is going on three years old now. I want to know how the OP and some of the others have been doing. I killed over 50 birds a year from the early 90s until I moved five years ago. I loved giving fresh birds away to elderly friends, relatives and farmers that could not hunt physically...

    Hakeem Butler Cut

Dennis Gibson had very nice NFL career. Started all but one game over a 9 year career. Played in a SB with the Chargers.

Friday OT #1 - Rubbing Pennies

I bought a brand new Chevy Pickup on my 18th birthday, late 90's. My parents were very upset with the idea that I got a loan for a vehicle. They were still driving a 1977 Toyota Corona and a 1983 Chevy 2X4 single cab to work. They also had a 1989 Dodge Caravan for our "family vehicle" it had 40k...

On That Note: Long Tall Shorty

PJ's Lukin was always too short for me. Only 55 seconds of lyrics with a story left untold.

Will you buy a player t-shirt?

I have a two of the CF t-shirts, mostly on impulse buys that made me laugh. They are always the 100% cotton, uncomfortable material. Won't buy another until they start selling a decent blend. I good design on player shirt would go a long way.

What happened to Martin Brothers Basketball

Both of my daughters play on AAU teams, one plays basketball and the other volleyball. They also both play 4 sports for their school. We make sure that the club does not get in the way of their school sports. Both of them recognize that they are probably not D1 athletes. They love to play...

    On That Note: Number 1’s - Album series, part 3 (2001 & 2011)

Incubus is so underrated. This tune will make you feel better about your day.

    On That Note: Number 1’s - Album series, part 3 (2001 & 2011)

There was a lot of songs that lead me into the Americana/Red Dirt realm, but I think "Firewater" by Whiskey Myers got the most play in 2011.

    On That Note: Number 1’s - Album series, part 2 (1981 & 1991)

'93 did introduce us to the Pumpkins, Tool and Counting Crows. You have a good argument.

    On That Note: Number 1’s - Album series, part 2 (1981 & 1991)

'91 was such an incredible year for an impressionable kid like me. Some of my favorite albums were from that year and still stuff I listen to often. In no particular order off the top of my head, Use Your Illusions, Badmotorfinger, Ten, Nevermind, Black Album, No More Tears, F.U.C.K, Temple of...

Wednesday OT: best "voice" you've heard at a concert

I would have loved to catch a John Denver show, my late father in law raved about that Hilton show.

Wednesday OT: best "voice" you've heard at a concert

Biggest disappointment was Counting Crows. Adam was awful and the band matched. Luckily "Live" saved the show, they were on point. I was really hoping for a repeat of their Codfish show I saw online, no dice. If y'all haven't been to Codfish yet, get there, great experience.

That is one hell of list. I don't bump into too many othe JTE fans, even in TX.

Friday OT #2 - Sucking On Chili Dogs Outside the Tastee Freeze

I used to play in a pickleball league every summer, no one in Texas has heard of pickleball.
