    Not from TX, just live here. My point was that I agree SRV is a better musician than ZZ, I also love Gary Clark Jr. and a number of other TX bands. Similarly chicken fried steak outsells filet mignon even though filets are better.

    I pack a cooler with sandwiches, snacks and drinks on road trips with the kids. I do this to save money and time on stops. I tell my family it is health related. I am lying, I am really just cheap and try to save every minute I can.

    Kevin Lykins was the "Chaplain" under Chizek, was a big mess at the time I remember. He is still continuing his FCA work in TX. Great dude, awesome with student athletes. He was popular with players and staff.

    That list of disbanded groups really shows how much the mid 90's changed the music scene. With grunge peaking, East/West Hip Hop peaking, and even the rising popularity of the new age of country music really killed the pop rock hair band vibe that held on for so long.
